Just asking for opinion, if I wish to use freeware/GNU GPL midi synthesizer, which one would you recommend? (since it is just for random fun, not doing any professional or commission manner, plus the widely used FL is not in my good price tag.)

Are you talking about free MIDI creation software, or free VST synths? Use Domino if you want a free MIDI creation tool. Synth1 is a good free analogue synth.
