Find an Asian or Japanese supermarket in your area. For the soup you're going to need miso and dashi (you can either get instant dashi or make your own using Bonito flakes and Konbu or dried shitake mushrooms), any non dehydrated noodles should be good and then just whatever mushrooms and veg you want (i like to add a spicy paste called gochujang). Unless you go to a Japanese supermarket, it might be hard to find gyoza but you should be able to find some frozen dumplings you can fry up. You can make your own but its a lot of work and only worth it if you're going to make a lot and freeze the rest. For Japanese recipes, I recommend Just One Cookbook.

Starrymart is great for ordering online if you don’t live in a city, otherwise local Asian grocery stores will have the stuff that regular shops won’t. However you can find frozen gyoza, udon noodles, miso paste, tofu, seaweed and bean sprouts in Sainsburys, Tesco etc.

My school lunch is rice/roti with a random sabzi nobody questions, a salad and a dessert (you can take everything 3-4 times except for dessert sadly)... sometimes on the friday of the month we get hakka noodles, manchurian, hot and sour soup and ice cream!
