Quick question. I've never heard of a fish cake. Did you make it yourself or was it pre-made from the store? I'd love to try it :) I can't can't get enough of this Udon goodness!! Love it

Lol.. THANKSsss !!! ^^❤ Fish cake is pretty much another variation of fishball. They are both made with " fish paste ". Fish paste is made with grind up fish meat... then usually seasoned with salt and white pepper powder... and uses cornstarch as ' glue '. You could definitely make fish cakes yourself.. but it's quite time-consuming. And I think ' temperature control ' has smth to do with this, too. If you have a large enough Asian Supermarket where you live... I'm pretty sure you can find ' fish paste '. Now all you need to do is take it home.. and pan-fry it. I've showed how I pan-fry these at the beginning of one of my eating videos ( forgot which one though... probably a noodle one ) ^O^

why did you boil the noodles first in the shallow skillet and then a 2nd time in the saucepan?

I do this with all my noodles. =) Boiling noodles for the first time: This is to get rid of all that extra floury / doughy / oil smell that some noodles come with, especially instant noodles where they had deep-fried the noodles. Also, the cheaper type of noodles ( especially those made with rice flour ) will have this doughy smell to it and you could totally taste that when you are eating it. Not very pleasant. Boiling noodle for the second time: This is to actually cook the noodles and you could add in the flavourings at this point. Now, whether you're using a shallow skillet or saucepan, it doesn't matter ^^
