In general, Satoshi seems to have a good, nuanced sense of what he is ingesting and is able to express his sensations in a fluent, expressive manner that allow us to also get an idea of what is being eaten. It goes beyond Oishī, delicious, amazing. Surprising in that English is not his native language. Bravo!

This is my comfort channel. I’m 26 and been watching since I was 19, when I first got so curious about Japan and the more local aspect of it. Back then I watched KZbin very regularly, but over the last 3 years KZbin hasn’t been a priority. Just remembered this channel and found it in my subscription. This is comfort, seeing them brought me instant joy, so happy this channel is still here and now I have lots of catching up to do!

I love both of your reactions to the apple bananas! Thank you for sharing your trip. I've been watching on and off for years, and I just want to say I'm so amazed at Satoshi's progress in English! Okinawa is on my must-visit list as a goju ryu student, but I'm not gonna lie - I think your food vids are a bigger part in my desire to visit than my practice, lol! EDIT: $5 USD for that massive pork belly noodle soup?! Ya. your videos are definitely the bigger motivation to go visit.

Just an amazing place yet again. You both give such wonderful commentary on the places you visit. Thank you once again for showing yet another part of Japan. I’ve wanted to travel there since I was a child (78) as my father spoke of when he was there just after the A bomb dropped. He was in the British army seconded for clean up duty, he spoke of the total devastation of Hiroshima and yet how resilient the people were in getting back to normality. 😊

I'm glad you got up to Hedo Point. That was one of my favorite places to explore while we lived in Okinawa. You would definitely love it on a sunny day. It's absolutely beautiful. Not sure if you two are into hiking, but Hiji Falls is just south of there along Hwy 58, across from the entrance to the Okuma campground. Stop off at the Hot Spar on that side of the street, pick up a couple of bentos and head across the street to the Hiji Falls hiking trail. Once you make it to the waterfall section, it's a great place to enjoy your bentos before heading back. I love Nago and the north side of the island so much. If I had it to do all over again, I would live in Nago.

Loved the video! I used to live in Okinawa for a few years and I've definitely been to at least some of the areas yall went on this video. A friend and I took a trip up north and ate at that northernmost Michi no Eki actually. We went to a little place left of the visitor center if I remember...I had a stir fried black pepper beef dish I think (it has been a handful of years ago). We also went to see the giant bird statue! Haha love it. Have yall been to Ojima down near...I want to say the bridge to there is around the Nanjo City area...? They have a really popular tempura shop shortly after you cross the bridge onto the island. They have lots of mozuku items too. Really tasty!

Guys, a recommendation, you should visit Yonaguni island. It's the most south-west part of Japan, about 65 miles from Taiwan. On a clear day, you can see Taiwan I think. The island has the Yonaguni horse. They stand about 4-5 feet high and are all over the island. Also the Yonaguni monument, and nice food.

You two always have such a great time in Okinawa--it makes me _so_ happy! You are both relaxed and shiningly beautiful (when I say "beautiful," I mean very handsome on the outside and gorgeous on the inside). Satoshi looked particularly sexy during his breakfast portion of the video 😊, and his "happy dance" made me giggle merrily. The food in Okinawa is soooo appealing. Satoshi's miso soup made my mouth water. And the scenery truly was breathtaking. If I lived near you, I'd teach you how to swim, Shinichi--I swim like a fish (and I'm a certified lifeguard). Once you learned, you'd love the freedom it gives you. Love and hugs to you both.💖💖

Years ago, my frugal sister bought regular banana instead of apple banana and brought it to our parents' house.
