Japanese Version Of "Your Hit Parade" during 1960's are mixture of American, French, Italian, Latin, and some German music. Also it included Movie soundtracks and easy listening music from all over the world. So, it is a uniquely international experience listening to it. For example, the film music composed by Nino Rota "Plein Soleil (Purple Noon)" was hitting the chart as well as Sylvie Vartan's "La Plus belle pour aller dancer" hit the number 1. They tend to stay on the chart for a little longer compared to American top 40 charts, but nonetheless it was very enjoyable fun for me who eagerly waited for a week to see what was hot.
