Bonjour Romuald! I just went on an amazing 3-day musical journey going through all your records for the #JapanVinylTag2024 challenge! I am exhausted but in the best way! Your selections rawked my world! Let me mention a few! Despite of course knowing of "Made in Japan" I don't think I had every actually listened to it before until now! It really does live up to the hype - what a high-energy performance, even the usually quite timid Japanese audience was feeling it! As I said before, adding that Carmen Maki to the collection at some point. I have some Tangerine Dream in my collection but not Phaedra so that was a nice first-time listen. Oh my god, nobody has answered the Go Go Go Godzilla question better than you - what an insane piece of music and concept- I really enjoyed! Again, Montrose I knew about, but this was a first time listen, and it was by this point that I was starting to think, "Ok, Romuald's a pretty heavy dude! I'm rocking pretty hard. Montrose shreds!" Kraftwerk admittedly wont work in my brain for some reason, I've been waiting for it to click my whole life - I might be too American for it. King Crimson, Johny Cash, and Rush all took me back-great revisits. Iaora Tahiti kinda like inviation to your wedding. Miles is in my rotation but listened anyway. Iron Maiden - I'll admit it - basically a first time listener - WAY mellower than I ever thought, that was a great little discovery, I will be less averse to them in the future, for sure! Hawkwind, also first time, and enjoyed - I think the last track especially. Knock on wood had be boogie-ing. Vangelis I always love. And Wish You Were Here is my favorite Floyd, ...so super amazing listening experience! Really glad I got to know a little bit more about you through this! Thank you for taking your time and putting your effort into this. I really appreciate it! Let's stay connected moving forward! You have a friend in Japan!

Hey @vinylrichie007! Here's a (admittedly snarky) suggestion! How about spend less time bellyaching about how long the video is on other people streams, and use that time and energy into making your OWN list. As I've said repeatedly, do 1/2 of it. Do 1/10 of it. Do 1 question. Do SOMETHING besides "Hell No"-ing it ;-) Genuinely inquiring minds want to know what a vinylrichie007 contribution to the thread is! And while I'm here be snarky, let me also say THANK YOU FOR WATCHING and engaging with all the various #JapanVinylTag2024 videos! Join the fun by making your own. You can bellyache directly to me on your video!

Cypress Hill with an orchestra sounds horrible." kzbin.info/www/bejne/j4Kbi4KVas13rsk Anyway, C'mon! If the legendary Vinyl Richie made a #JapanVinylTag Video, it would be the biggest boon! You're right, so we are French people, either on strike or on holiday 😅🤣The first two Iron Maiden were solid records, I can only agree though I do have a soft spot for The Number Of The Beast (as it is the very 1st Maiden record that I've ever bought when I was 16y old). Let me know if you have hard time getting ahold of a specific record in AUS which can be easily found over here.

Jumped on your video R straight away.... 'Made in Japan' yes! Good Gene Clark album there, and can't argue with 'Phaedra'. That German album looks like a Stockhausen one (I have a few of those, and they're 'out there'!). 'Folsom Prison' is amazing, isn't it? It is so 'electric'.; the energy is tangible. I have that Hawkwind album too, but completely forgot about how the gatefold opens up! As for Vangelis, in English we pronounce it with a hard 'G'. Another great video. Well done.

Oh, I haven’t heard that Blues Creation album. I have the Demon and Eleven Children one which is very heavy. I love that Animal Magnetism album! It might be my favourite post Uli Jon Roth album. I’ve always loved mixed tapes. That later became mixed CDs, mixed MDs, and now playlists. I prefer my playlists to be 80 minutes long. I used to love the 90-minute cassette, but I prefer a playlist that I can burn to CD is I ever feel like it these days. Great choice with Moving Pictures! Surprising but great! Iron Maiden’s debut is among my top three favourite Iron Maiden albums. I’ve been thinking to listen to that Hawkwind recently because I haven’t for about ten years!

Demon and Eleven Children is a good one too. Funny enough, both albums were released in '71, literally one soon after the other. When I traveled to France/Germany last May, I bought myself a copy of Blues Creation - Live! which is a double-LP set recording of several performances precisely in the year 1971 that was already available on CD, but had never been released on vinyl before. It includes songs from these two albums.
