yes it would intimidate the enemy and make them feel as though they are about to fight soldiers way stronger than them. But also it could serve as a way to keep the soldiers in order i.e when the drum is being played, move forward etc... And it could also help the soldiers stay aware of their surroundings and to stay aware of their fellow soldiers. Plus it also helps to keep them motivated.

I use Cubase for my DAW. Most of the percussion is from 8Dio, the tonal Japanese instruments are from Impact Soundworks and the orchestral elements are usually from Spitfire or ProjectSAM.
