This time we will learn how to say "but"; "however" in Japanese.
Do you know the differences between "でも (demo)", "けど (kedo)", "ですが / ますが (desu ga / masu ga)", "しかし (shikashi)" and "のに (noni)"?
You'll also learn how to say "no buts" in Japanese.
Especially learning how to use the のに will make you sound more native and natural when speaking Japanese!

But these are the best subtitles and annotations ever! I like how very explanatory they are and reveille the sentence structure. For listening only, I simply move a window to cover them up. If nothing else, one could just use a piece of paper, or close your eyes.

With the explosion of social media sensei's in recent years still no-one touches Misa-sensei for quality of content and it is ALWAYS her videos that I seek out when needing to sort my head out on anything to do with 日本語. The information is always thorough, clearly presented, un-rushed and super informative. I remain constantly amazed at the amount of time and effort she has put in to her videos over the years. お疲れ様でした先生!

You know, I greatly appreciate the effort that goes into these videos. I know how hard it is to have different colors of text when it comes to video editing, as well as having to make them light up or dim down. I'm super impressed! Whoever edits these videos (I imagine Misa?) is a super hard worker and very good! Hmm I'll try a little bit what I learned in this episode lol! Hmm.... I like BiSH... DEMO Band Maid has a bigger place in my heart lol!

Thank you so much Misa for not only teaching us all to speak Japanese, but for also going in to so much detail and depth with your work. Thank you for the efforts with the subtitled/non subtitled versions of each segment, the coloring of the words for visual understanding, and the extra effort that you even put in to your acting. You work so hard to teach us all your native language, and I think it's only fair for me to put in the same amount of effort to learn it. I live in Hawaii so I'm exposed to the Japanese language on a daily basis. You make my life easier lol.

I saw this 3-line all japanese comment and it scared me a bit. Then I tried to read it and I understood waay more than I thought I would ! Getting input like that is fun as well. It's interesting with japanese how even though there are words are don't know or wouldn't know how to pronounce, I stil can understand their meaning. I didn't know "長時間" but knew the kanji so I guessed it meant 'a long period of time' If you asked me how 'べんきょう' is written in kanji I wouldn't exactly picture it, but I can always recognise it. I didn't know "今度" nor the "度" kanji before, but knowing "今" makes it easy to understand what kind of thing it would mean, using the sentence other words and context as well. Japanese is fun

So again: arigato gozaimasu! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! You’re amazing aaaand I am so glad you have made these videos.
