Japfest 2024!! The BIGGEST JDM Show!! 4K

Japfest Silverstone never disappoints but this year was on another level!! The show sold out weeks before the event which has never happened before. Car display tickets sold out 4 MONTHS early too! I hosted stand this year and it was more then DOUBLE the size it was last year! The perfect show to have my Honda Civic Type R EP3 and S2000 at once again.

Olly heads to Silverstone to show his Honda Civic Type R EP3 and S2000 at Japfest. This time, Olly hosts around 80 cars on his own stand under his new brand, LimitR. This was to have a base for Subscribers to come and say hello. This show is one of the biggest Japanese car shows in Europe and really brings all the best JDM cars out. Nissan R34 GTR’s, Toyota Supra’s and Mazda RX7’s are all in attendance as well as everything in between. If it’s Japanese, it’s probably here. Silverstone is the perfect location for a car show with the space and the track being open, meant that a variety of cars were out on track throughout the day.
If you want to see the show from a Honda fan’s perspective then look no further.
A HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who came and said hi and had a look at the cars. I am glad they lived up to everything in the videos. The scale of this compared to last year was unbelievable so you already know that I will be back next year for it to be bigger and better again.

not enough focus on ep3s would have been good if you could have spoken to owners on your stand about specs

This video is one of the ones that is less EP3 focused and more about the entire show. If I was to spend time with owners talking about their cars, I wouldn’t have time to see the rest of the show and all the people that have no interest in the EP3 wouldn’t watch either. Videos like this, that are more general, are to try and increase my reach beyond just the EP3 community as that is what I need to do to grow the channel.

I can only apologise for this. The cultural differences between the UK and USA seem to make this look bad from the US perspective. There is absolutely no negative connotations meant by this as the word “Jap” here in the UK doesn’t carry any malicious intent to my understanding. It could be worth contacting the event organisers to express your concerns with the title and their branding

If the promoters love the Japanese car culture they should love the "Japanese culture" and not name it something offensive and as a video content creator condone it with a response of "I don't know what to tell you." and have a big title graphic of the word "JAPfest"

It would be amazing to see Japanese culture at these events too. It is a dream of mine to visit Japan to explore the culture, food and experiences that the country has to offer beyond just the cars. I am unsure on what I can do in this situation, I am just using their official logo on a video about me attending their event. There will be hundreds of videos like this coming out over the next few weeks from others who also attended the show. Just like the various years before. In the UK, the word "Jap" is only used as a shortening of "Japanese" in the same way we use "UK" instead of "United Kingdom" for example. There is nothing negative that goes along side that.
