He does have an amazing voice, and he's currently my fave cover artist. But I'm actually quite a fan of this over the original (even tho the original is good to), as it was god dam time for a Guy to sing a song with this theme of using love for personal gain and still able to sing it with so much passion and empathy. Normally, in a song with this, it's portrayed the Guy uses love for his own use, which there's no problem with that if it's sung by a girl, but I find it a bit Sexist and Stereotypical. Girls tend to sing about being in love and what happens after falling out of it, while Guys tend to sing about being in love and trying to find it, so I'm glad Sam finally broke the mold like this :)
