Dear Upendra , Thanks for this song... Jothi's voice suited Freddie well for the rather serious role that he played in Lasanda compared to his usual " Diya rella verale hapi hapi" style of singing... Freddie of course was one of our greatest comedians and his humour was so natural ! Rgds Shuaib Cassim

Dear Upendra, All KAW's movies were of the lighter kind - a mixture of everthing to suit the general audience. I must have seen all his movies. He was able to produce for the box office and have a great story too. I cannot recollect a single movie without Khemadasa's music and there was opportunity for all kinds of singers to contribute ! One of the earliest I saw with Joe's great humour(dual role) and good music was Kapatikama. Bicycle Hora had DR in a lead role. Rgds Suhaib C

Dear Palitha, Thanks for this piece of background info on this song....I was going by hearsay evidence and appreciate your valuable knowledge. KAW did give Freddie both acting and singing roles in Wasana and Duleeka; in Lokuma Hinawa he sang "Parana coat " for L M Perera. Rgds Shuaib C

You're welcome. It's a shame Freddie didn't get more interesting roles in well-made films. I though he did a good job here though I don't think this film is of much quality.
