Guys this video is 2 yrs old. The physics of the game has changed a lot. I dont think any car in the game can brake at 130-140m for the first chicane even with trail braking. Very fast times are like 1:46.000-1:47.500 and fast times are from 1:47:500-1:49.000 and the very fast times are managable with abusing the setup. Really you need to mess around with the setup like for hours and have a lot of track time but then it pays off. I can do 1:48.700 with a slightly tweaked aggressive setup, cuz I am too lazy to make a hardcore setup.

1.45 is still archiveable. And braking at 150m is easy if you don’t miss downshifts. If you get downshifts correctly you can break even at 140m

I don't get it were i lost 3 sec. In my opinien i drive the same line and brake at the same points. If the gap were 1,5 i would understand but 3 seconds are hard. I hope my english is not that bad.

There are 11 corners on this track, you may did 1 or 2 mistakes wich cost you 3 sec or you may do a small mistake in each corner in total the same 3 sec. I had same thoghts before I learned the track. Just practice and you will made it :)

Then you dont drive the same line and same braking points. If you are 3 seconds of the pace you are doing something fundamentally wrong maybe practice and learn the track more? Also every track has more acceleration zones than braking points, unless you arent within Id say 1 second of top guys, focus on putting on more throttle instead of braking, you will need to brake earlier but you will gain more time

I'm a big fan of Jardier, but that wasn't a track guide. It was a track brief. A guide consists of breaking each corner down to braking points, gear, when to turn, where to apex, where to exit and at what speed, and showing the whole corner from multiple angles at a reduced camera speed, so that the viewer can see what's going on. It's all about details. I'm kind of disappointed, because a real track guide by such a legendary sim racer would be truly helpful. Fortunately, I do know of a youtuber who does excellent track guides. TraxionGG. Here's his Monza guide: kzbin.info/www/bejne/hWi1XpSYnNGekJI

That information is all on this video. He doesnt need to tell you when to brake or where to turn or any of that as he is showing you. If you need to pause or slow down the video you can. I honestly prefer jards video as you can visibly see when he brakes and when he accelerates as its not a replay. The video you posted doesnt show any of that.

@@Gix321 You apparently don't understand the purpose of guides and how they're best done. For the most part, guides are for noobs. Most noobs aren't going to be able to just watch someone take a corner and immediately understand how to take it. Why do you think most guides break every part of the track down with explanation?
@Gix321
@Gix321 2 жыл бұрын
@@Kultivater i honestly dont know why they break each corner down. Here is a left corner so you turn left, break before the corner and turn in on the apex. Hit a little bit of the curb and accelerate out hard, running it out the the outside curb. If you look at the arrows ive painted on the screen you can see they are going left around the corner. Do that. 🤣 Its just a track guide in pod cast form. If you cant see or hear what is going on.

@@Gix321 Wow dude. Alright, let me explain it to you then: Every track is different, and every corner on each track is different. A left turn isn't equal to any other left turn. Each one of them has its own personality, its own strengths and weaknesses, which require varying levels of finesse and aggression. Differences in trail braking, difference in corner entry and exit, differences in where to apex, differences in how early or late to get back on throttle, differences in whether or not to coast through a certain part, and the list goes on and on. Each and every corner on each and every track is a complex machine needing to be mastered to achieve the best lap times. If idiots(like you, apparently) just take it like they would any other corner, with no mind to accept the complexity of each, then pretty much everyone would be several seconds off the pace. Most guide makers know these things. Only noobs think like you. So, that's why.

@Kultivater yeah and all that info is in this video. You can see the line. You can see how much he is braking and trail breaking. You can see how hard he is accelerating, and you can see how hard he hits the ripple strips. In the video you posted, you can only listen to when he says he is trail braking and such because it's a replay with no telemetry on the screen. You don't need to break it down for me. I quite understand what you're saying. I just don't see what extra information you gained from the video you posted

Totally bs, i break before 150m but can't never slow down that fast as in the video and he's saying even 140m... Tried to lower abs aswell but nothing. Why my car doesn't slow down like that??

Brake on 150 is possible. Slam it hard and turn in trailbraking when the green strip on the left starts

@@mezoksta i found a "solution". I noticed that FOV impacts the way you perceive the speed, so i copied Jardier's FOV and now seems ok, i can break 😅

I highly recommend adjusting your brake sensitivity to match your driving style. Stopping at the 150 mark is achievable, but it really depends on your brake settings. Just my two cents for optimizing your performance on the track!
