JARED 10 YEAR ANNIVERSARY!

Hey Head Cases, Robb here.
Put your hands together and give it up to long-time bassist/backing vocalist Jared MacEachern on his 10 year anniversary with Machine Head. Announced on the eve of the Mayhem Festival Jared had technically been in the band for almost a month at that point, but he proved more than formidable on his inaugural tour with the band, rocking hard onstage during the day, and becoming the life of the party at night.
Great bassist, incredible vocalist, creative collaborator, drinking buddy, and all-around solid-as-fuck dude, it is a pleasure having this mojo in Machine Head. Having survived the tumultuous “Catharsis-era”, he now has persevered longer than both Led Zeppelin and the Beatles were making records, and twice as long as The Police were even a band, not to mention living with me for years on end!!!

I was really sad with adam's departure from the band and felt pissed when he left, it was hard for me to imagine someone else filling those shoes, but as the years passed I found that Jmac not only just filled those shoes but wore them so much better and surpassed any expectations, he was the perfect dude to destroy it on the bass with MH and couldn't be happier about his 10 year celebration!! Thanks for all the good vibes on the happy hours 💖🔥 and also for loving the kill and playing it, I love it too!!

Jarad has been a a godsend to Machine Fucking Head! I remember when I was very fortunate to play Download 2012 with my band, and I bumped into Duce Back stage. It was an Ore inspiring moment, as when I first started to play bass I worked out “Take My Scars Away” by ear on the bass. I tried to tell Duce about this and it was an honour to meet him….he didn’t give 2 F’s and basically told me to “Jog on” what a 🛎️🔚

Amazing bassist, and amazing vocalist. He has brought so much to the band and you can definitely see how he has helped mold the modern MH sound. The harmonies are real. Met Jared when Sanctity were supporting Trivium in England in 2007. I’d had a panic attack at the front and had to be dragged out. After I got back to the venue’s lobby, I saw Jared and after really enjoying Sanctity’s set, I just approached him to tell him this. “You look like crap are you okay?” I just laughed and nodded. We took a photo together which has sadly been lost to the annals of time and old tech. Such a nice, cool person. Love ya JMac. Happy 10 years!
