In terms of meritocracy, Jared at least deserves the Khamzat fight or Paulo Costa if he beats Whittaker. Unfortunately, since he doesn't really move the needle, I bet the UFC is gonna give him the winner of Dolidze/Brendan Allen instead. I love Jared and his fight with Vettori was AMAZING. I just think his performances have been inconsistent enough that the UFC is gonna give him a hard road back to the title shot.

Vitoria isn’t a high bar and is at the top as the division is so bleak and the same guys go over and over again. and got a decision against Strickland for whiffing power punches. Shit he beat a 45 year old Anderson he didn’t even fight back against Whittaker and Whittaker didn’t do much of anything. Vitori sure he let his hands go. But would rather see cannonier wiped off the planet and get new opportunity in the mw division.
