He makes great decisions with the ball. Haters like to focus on his lack of mobility but that is NOT a requirement. In fact it CAN be a detriment to some QBs. Goff has great tools and the stats dont lie. Taking multiple teams on deep playoff runs is no fluke. He is a cerebral QB, top deep pass completion percentage last year, constantly top 3-5 in ALL stats, TD/int ratio is top in the league. The people that say he needs this o-line say that Stafford couldnt do it here because he had a mid tier o-line (basically being hypocritical about the fact that ALL QBs need a good O-line for real success). The Hendon Hooker crowd thinks they know better than the coaches who see him play at every practice and know his limitations in development and know Goff gives this team the best chance at success. Period. Goff haters just cling to their opinions from when he was traded and cant admit they were wrong, they NEED to feel validated in their bad opinions instead of looking at the facts and learning to change their own mind. Goff is THE GUY IN DETROIT. Period.

Thank goodness Jared Goff isn't a running QB... Jared does what his offensive coordinator calls.. Any of these running QBs can get a first down here and there but they end up on IR like Anthony Richardson nearly every time - or they don't last very long in the league - ultimately they hurt their team when they get hurt using those legs. In Detroit we LOVE it when those QB take off their Dress and allow for the punishment... Justin Fields still walks funny from Rodrigo and Houston making a sandwich of his body and causing a fumble LOL. Dan Campbell says it's OPEN SEASON when QB take their dresses off and run the ball - we aim to retire them for that decision!

When you have such a solid team, you NEED the guy who has the brain to make the right decisions with the ball and MANAGE the team to success on the field. You dont need a guy trying to play “hero ball” and taking unnecessary risks. Or running out of the pocket and taking hits etc. Goff is the best QB for THIS team. His underdog mentality and his grit to prove the haters wrong is the identity this team needs at QB.
