The weird moment when personal means that his new epiphone signature sounds better than the Paul Kossoff les paul. For me the Paul Kossoff sounds like absolute mud. I wanted to say shit but tried to be polite. So I am not. Fuck that one lol, his single p90 epiphone sounds just...better. The single p90 jr also sounds better for vintage mellow.

I’ve learned so much from watching Jared’s playing style - I too am a lefty playing a right handed guitar and have had some challenges using a pick - This guy is a wealth of information and talent.

I saw Paul's comment and decided to reply instead of making my own. I'm not a hard rock guy anymore, but love Jared James - his playing is so different. I almost got an Epiphone Old Glory, but opted for a 1955 reissue instead, since I was born that year, and it has the large rounded neck I like, plus I'm more of a neck pickup guy - and I have a Lollar "staple" pickup, similar to what the original used for more clarity (Les Paul used a Gretch dynasonic until Seth Lover made the staple pickup for him). Jared James is a fun guy with an infectious attitude!

I have a photo too, I was 26 yrs old, I’m 59 now. Koss was one of my heroes and I grew up on Free. Taken to soon at 25, him and Bolin Great video thank you!

Jared you are correct 1958 was the release of the hard edge double cut juniors and specials and there was a hand full made single cut up until the switch to the SG body shape and during that time when sg was still called the Les Paul they made a batch of original double cut specials in cherry and in the 1961 ledger those guitars which where double cut bodies laying around were mark as “SG” and that’s the strange history of how the original les Paul double cut gave the SG its name

So refreshing to see someone more into tone than mindless speed.Kossoff is due for a rediscovery, another great one more into sweet tone and liquid vibrato than speed, so cool his axe lives on, these guitars are the Stradivarioses of our time.

I was there when Dorothy was debuted in Pennsylvania (Stroudsburg at a little theater called The Sherman Theater). That night there was an unbelievably bad rain storm, it was the tail end of a hurricane that was down south. It caused so many roads to get closed that the trip that would normally be 1 hour for me to get home took nearly 4 hours. I spent 3 hours driving through the mountains from one side road to the next as they were closed. It was an amazing night i will never forget JJN is a beast!

It was my first time doing anything onstage, and it was such a head rush meeting such humble everyday guys. I was backstage ogling all of the iconic Gibson's and getting ready for the show when I met "Thor" (aka Jared) before he opened the show rocking the Star Spangled Banner. I know what he means about the bridge pickup becoming microphinic like that. My gold top does the same thing while the neck is solid and doesn't do it at all. This is a soapbar P90 too. It needs some foam under it to stiffen it all up and take the play out.

I'm a lefty who plays righty as well, and boy am I glad. Finally caught a break with a little something that makes me feel normal for once in my life. It makes more sense to me though. Why wouldn't I fret with the same hand I write with? Plus, lefties who play right-handed is a cool club to be in. We got Mark Knophler, Duane Allman, Billy Corgan, Robert Fripp, Joe Perry, Johnny Winters, Gary Moore. Plus, we still have that connection to all the left-handed greats like Hendrix and Iommi. Lefties are creative problem solvers, just out of necessity from living in a right-handed world. That adversity and creativity is a good mix for artistic potential.
