I never ever thought I'd choose home birth as a birthing option. I never even knew there was such a thing until I was pregnant with Jared. As I'm growing up, I am more and more curious to learn about myself and the reason why I'm here on this earth. I'm choosing to surround myself with people and things that empower me and encourage me to become a better person each day: closer to love, closer to nature, closer to God.
This home birth experience opened my mind, body, and soul into breaking the patterns of fear-based living and being able to truly live out the limitless power that we've always had within. Unfortunately, our true power may have gotten lost in the modern world where busyness and materialism has taken over our way of living. Life seems to be more about what we have, than who we are.
Anyhows, I am starting to ramble again...
I just feel so lucky to have Kelly and Jared and I''m amazed every day by how much God trusts me to gift me with two children. I wanted to share this experience with you all to let you know that if you are suitable for home birth, it can happen and is safe when you are surrounded by a well-experienced good team. Would I do it again if I had a chance? Yes! For sure!
p.s. home birth may not be for everyone. Ask your doctor and midwife team if you suitable for it. If yes, go for it! It's one of the most beautiful things I've experienced.

I love Jared’s home birth story as well! All our birth stories are so unique, sometimes it feels like it was only yesterday when Ella was born.. I hope I’ll always remember the details and can share them with her one day. Eventhough I have already gone through giving birth once, I still feel pretty terrified of labour! Haha.. It would be nice to give Ella a sibling and if I do get that chance in the future, I hope they will be as close knitted as Kelly and Jared are. I love how Kelly was a part of Jared’s birth as well, how special that she got to witness her baby brother being born! Stay safe and all the best to you and your family. Just now, when I saw the push page at 18:00, I was so excited that I jumped on the spot, thinking there would be a live broadcast in three hours. With only 2 batteries left, I hurried back to the dormitory to charge it. However, when I went back to the push page, the launch date was 15 hours later. Uh-huh. I just realized I'm in East 8. It's three o 'clock in the morning in Vancouver. Linda should be sleeping now. The first time to feel the time zone difference brought helplessness.

Linda, I'm so glad to hear that you had a positive and safe home birth for Jared! The experience definitely sounds more personalized for the whole family rather than the systematic processes of hospital births. I think when your body and mind are going through so much, in such a short period of time, just being in the safely of your home, can really do a lot to ease some of the stress. I loved the part where you got to catch Jared - your little baby and miracle who you nourished for so many months - and now that he's ready to be his own person, the catch is so symbolic in the sense that "Mommy will still be there to catch, to hold, and to guide you." Also, yay to not needing stitches!!!! Did you feel like your home birth helped with your post-partum recovery? Thanks for sharing your birth stories

Due to my high risk pregnancies my GP recommended me to seek an OB. My daughter forced a c-section on me. Her hand was stuck. I haemorrhage with her. I needed a blood transfusion too. My son also gave me post delivery complications. I’m 2/2 for post delivery complications. Home births are beautiful. It’s just not for everyone. Congratulations to you!

Hi Linda, after listening your story, I I think I would choose home birth in the future. 😍 I am curious if you needed to do ultrasound to make sure baby in headfirst position before delivery at home. If baby is not in headfirst position, home birth can be carried or not? And did you prepare for a hospital transfer in case labour isn't progressing? 🤔

It depends on the personalities of the kids. Both Linda and her husband have good personalities, resulting in the same for Jared and Kelly. Not all families are meant to be happy, esp. when you give birth to children with emotional issues, with addiction issues, with psychopath genes....when all you do each day is take on the screaming of your children, worry about them, arguing with them, your whole life devoted to take care of them even when they are like 40-50 yrs old. then, maybe a life as a single may not be too bad as family life is not always happy. Usually, people whom experience a not so happy childhood with siblings think that way too....like Do Do Cheng.
