I went to a big park by my place, food this nice shady spot, threw my yoga mat out, sat down and started listening. Read the lyrics and listened to the music while looking up staring at the leaves on the trees, the birds and all the bugs. During storm I felt so emotional I began to cry. A few minutes later a random white dog came right up to me and started licking me. Her owner said she is so shocked because the dog doesn't like people. I told the dog owner that maybe her dog sensed my emotion. It made my listening experience that much more special. I absolutely love the album! I'm happy I chose to go out in nature to absorb this album!!

Time II is not an immediate album, I'm on my fifth play and hearing new things

I think that happens for 2 reasons. One we have over indulged in Time I which has simplified it for us. Two, this is a more complex record.

This is going to be a tough one. One must find the exact state of mind to be ready to listen this album for the first time. It might be on the release date, but if I don't feel like it (tired, stressed whatnot) I must wait until the mental state is there. Noticed the same thing with the teaser clips - some days they sound epic and some days mehh. But as AP said, they might grow on you with multiple listens, but then again you can only listen once for the first time. And you know what they say about first impressions. Damn I'm nervous, Jari was right that the expectations must be sky high, and not only just for me.

I hear you. I went right through it after midnight and fucked up this work day, but less sleep was worth it. I fell asleep feeling very content. Now I listened through it again and it's even better. Just take your time, get a good headset, listen to the best sound quality files (.wav), and do not be distracted. And re-listen. You'll come to realize it's much deeper than the first listen. It's genius level, just like Time I, which will also be a blast in the same quality.

I can't imagine any song being better than 'Time'. Excited to hear Silver Leaves though, 13 years ago Jari said it was his best work and with writing Loneliness after it, he still says Silver Leaves is the best. Listening to Storm right after Ominous Clouds makes sense, I never listen to Time without Darkness and Frost first. Such great questions, excited to hear the demo for One with the Shadows without the new parts. Good point Pedro, Jari has bought himself a lot of time by keeping us occupied with over 5 hours of unheard Wintersun stuff. Antonio is a hero for not listening so we get to see first hand reactions on WinterSunday again! Jari saying a little worried about the hype is sweet. My guess is it will be the greatest album of all time. No pressure. Terribly sad to hear it doesn’t sound like Eurovision though ha.

He says that Silver Leaves is ONE of the best, not the best. The best song ever written is Sons of Winter and Stars. I think Jari prefers Sons above Silver Leaves, and we also know that his lovechild is Starchild.

It's very interesting to hear the album was more or less indeed split. Honestly feel like some of Time II could in theory slot in around Land Of Snow And Sorrow, but awesome to hear it's pretty much a back to back afar (plus a second intro that works in place too)

I didn't want to watch this before having a chance to listen to the album myself, so here I am now. Good questions, Pedro - some of the things you have asked are exactly what I would have asked Jari myself... 👍 If I had to choose between When Time Fades Away and Fields Of Snow outside of the context of the respective albums they belong to, I'd still go with the former since to me that track really feels like an echo of eternity with its build-up/gradation amd instrumentation. It's more melancholic so it stirs my mind into a more contemplative mode, but of course the 2 are not interchangeable. Just like When Time Fades Away is the perfect track to put before Sons Of Winter And Stars, Fields Of Snow is the perfect track to put before The Way Of The Fire.

We already know the album won't be bad, because we have heard both Storm and The Way Of The Fire as live performances. I personally am very impressed by The Way Of The Fire and even if it was the only good song on the record I would still be happy. So no reason to worry about it, Jari, we already know that the abum is good at least!

Spot on! Plus since all the 'Time' tracks minus Fields Of Snow and perhaps Ominous Clouds were originally meant to be on the same album, there's basically no chance that the stuff that ended up on Time II won't be at least on the same level as Time I.

No one should care if Time II is better than TIme I or not, because in the end it's supposed to be one big album. If Time II can only slightly touch the epicness of Time I we already know it's going to be insane and they'll feel like that since there are new songs as well. Sons of Winter and Stars seems unbeatable but that's not a loss, since it's the best song ever written.
