I do everything with time trial setup at the moment. Just make sure to put the tyre pressurses to maximum and play around with brake bias.

Well the AI used the tyres in pitstops for longer races whereas you switched to softer compounds because the race was left with just for few laps, that's where I think the AI needs to improve.
