I feel it's a clever bit of marketing. As a fan I found it hard to choose and was tempted like some fans to buy both but resisted and chose the box set.

Thanks for the video. The poster of the film is about the Daleks- Invasion Earth 2150 A.D., I never understood why a Roboman was at the centre of the artwork, it should have been a Dalek.

Having purchased the videos, then DVDs, I don't feel the need to spend £50 each on either of these releases. I simply can't justify the expense.

I absolutely LOVE the dalek ship in this movie, it's an amazing model. Currently binge watching old Dr Who on Britbox again - almost finished the Key To Time saga, which is way better than I remember it !

I have the steelbook as I think they look so lovely. I've also pre-ordered the German version again. I've got the original Daleks VHS box set with poster cards. Still thinking about getting the box sets for these!

Thanks for the review of both editions! I prefer the deluxe with the booklets, challenge coin and cards. I wish Studio Canal would have copied The Collection box sets with the same format of the packaging but understand copyrights and such prevented them. Do you know if Nick Briggs replaced the original voice of the Daleks on these releases?

I'd much prefer the Steelbooks, not as bulky, and I'm not as interested in all the pack-in extras that pad out the fancy boxes. If they included the essay booklets I'd jump on those in a heartbeat (and if the BD was Region Free like the 4K disc is)

Has anyone else had any issues playing their 4k disc of this film? With mine, the menu artwork comes up and is lovely, but there is no option whatsoever to play the film, no matter what I do. It's as if they forgot to put the film on my particular 4k disc. I suppose I'll have to return mine and hope they have a replacement available to send me.
