One of the all time best hockey players! When we were juniors Jagr was already playing. Now some of those that made it are already finishing up and Jagr is still around. All the best for 68!!

I use to hate Jagr after he left the Capitals but now I really have a ton of respect for the guy. I'm in my late 30's and play ice hockey. Jagr gives me inspiration to keep myself in the best possible shape. The result is that I'm more fit now than I have ever been in my entire life. I would be able to skate circles around the 18 year old version of myself.

I saw this video years ago and started incorporating some of his techniques into my game, specifically the drill where he takes 3-4 steps off the board and quickly puts the puck on net. It works, a lot. Thanks Jagr!

I gotta say I’m just so grateful for this upload, and to get some insight about how a player like Jagr gets to be as good as he is. I mean he was/is an exceptional hockey player. And as for myself, I’m an older guy @ 47. And I’ve played all my life, and I love this dam game so much, I’m not ready to stop, and I still strive to play with the best competition around that will have me. I need/love to train off ice, even still, and for no particular goal other than the personal satisfaction. He’s an inspiration for someone like me, as he’s not been willing to throw the towel in, even at his current age. I think hockey’s the most exhilarating sport to develop and compete in. I hope when I die someday, I’ve got my skates on. So thx so very much for posting this.

Biographically, he says he grew up on a farm where he had to do physical labor 5 hours a day. Mentally, he was training to do the work necessary to be the best. That's a head start on most others.
