Not an Everton fan but been keeping an on this guy for a few year's. When he first joined Everton thought he was good but maybe not PL good. Reminded me a bit of Phil Jones (Phil Jones before Utd). Anyway a couple of loans later and a winning U21 euros qnd he's arrived. Quality at Blackburn (before injury) and PSV but wondered if he had the pace for the big time. How wrong was i. Loves a sliding tackle which makes me smile as haven't seen many for years. Thought they were banned hs ha. However, the sliding tackle could be his problem in any club/country Euro tournament and also the World Cup. What would happen against the likes of Vinicus Jr, Mbapoe etc etc etc. What does everyone think?? Also big shout out to Blackburn Rovers. How many young Premier League footballers have they helped develop. Insane

United have been strongly linked with him this past few months, so I've watched him a few times and wasn't that impressed with him. Got too tight against Haaland when he scored, and conceded a penalty against United (although was offside so didn't count). So, he is liable to make mistakes. However, I'm surprised by how quick he is. When I watched him initially it looked he was quite slow, but he can shift. Plus, he's a very decent ball player, although hasn't showcased it at all this season due to the way Everton build up. Decent talent for sure. But something that's interesting is that you nor I are the only ones who didn't think Branthwaite would develop as much as he has this season. Southgate said it himself a few weeks back that he didn't expect this as Branthwaite was on the bench for the U21's just last summer and within a few months is performing as one of the best CB's in the league.

In this video, he’s sliding tackles are good. In reality, we know he makes mistakes. I would still prefer for standing tackles instead. Since, one error could lead to a penalty or send off.

Will Fish is just as good, if you minus pace and he's right footed. There are so many left-footed CB that Man United can get that's better and cheaper than braithwaite. My choices are Calafiori, Lukeba or you could even get Hato. Could probably get two of these for less than what Evertons demanding for Branthwaite.

Just going by physical attributes alone, would probably be a good partner for Licha.. United need more of a physical presence in the team. If he were a target for United, I'd be concerned at the fact he is also left footed. Despite his bad luck with injuries, Martinez also plays on the left. It does not seem sensible to sign somebody for such a fee while, at least while on the pitch, he would be behind the team's best defender.

U know I have just been watching transfer news to see which centre backs we linked to and to be honest it's brainthwaith yoro and todibo so for the first time I had a look at them all for 5 minutes each and can say that out of all 3 todibo would be the best for united he reads the game well his strong has pace and can play the ball out from the back or anywhere on the pitch comfortable on the ball and gets plays moving yoro I just don't like his style Mayne he will get better in years to come and brainthwaithe is just a overpriced overhyped average player he just has height to his advantage same like yoro don't see us paying so much for a version of maguire with a bit more pace and youth on his side I would sign todibo and bring in goncalo inacio with him who can cover for martinez as his left footed and he can play at left back as a starter for shaw who is injury prone.....who is uniteds scouts they need to rebook that department and do a strategic review on that instead of wasting time on transfers and overpaying for average players

@@brandonhudson4984 How is he overhyped? He plays for an utter dog 5hite team, yet managed to secure the 2nd most clean sheets in the PL and he was an integral part in them achieving that. He isn't just tall and having height only gives you an advantage in winning ariel duels. He is 6ft 5, has pace, is primarily left footed but can play with both, can pass and is 21. His schooling came late on and was at Carlisle so his scope for improvement is much larger than most. Overpriced for one of the best performing cb's across all metrics, yet teams are prepared to go and spunk 60m+ on some sausage from the Portuguese farmers league. The mind boggles.
