That was beautiful. This is my favorite song by Jars of Clay. Wonderful voice and great playing. I know it's hard to play and sing at the same time. I can relate wholly when I do so on the piano. Thank you for sharing.

Wow! Brought tears to my eyes in a way that even the original doesn't manage. Between your beautiful playing and your haunting voice, you've done an excellent cover of this song. The lone guitar is just perfect. Thank you for sharing.

I'm into a lot of different music, mostly heavy fast stuff, but was introduced to this song many years ago by a Christian friend. I adore it n you've made a truly beautiful version, mate. Wasn't expecting vocals, n then heard your voice. Very nice. This is class.

Also, that is definitely the way to show the neck/chords!! Everyone shows the neck from streight down, & fingers get in the way of the frets being played. So, well done again !

Holy sh**! Fantastic! I'm just working on my own version of that great song, but I haven't worked on the exact picking pattern up to now. Now that I listened to your great job, I want to do it like you rocked it, oh yeah! But where do I find the tabs? GOOGLE! If I don't find anything I will bother you until you'll be willing to help me! ;-) Oh, and once again: good job!!!

Great job! Would you believe the muscle memory in my fingers can remember how to play this song by MEMORY, even after a brain aneurism almost killed me?!?!?! My mom called both of my brothers and told them to get down to California ASAP if they wanted to say 'goodbye' to me before I die of a brain aneurism. Obviously, I did NOT die, I did manage to wake up at UCLA Medical Center after the neurologists argued in front of my wife about whether a procedure by Dr. Vespa would work or not. One neurologist even CALLS my wife and says, "I've been practicing medicine for 20 years! I know what works, and I know what DOESN'T work, and that procedure by Dr. Vespa will NEVER work!" My wife replied, "I'm SURE you know more about this than I do, but we don't seem to have much of a choice!" Obviously, the procedure DID work, but I will always be quoted for what I said when the neurologists DID manage to wake me up and asked if I recognized the weeping woman at my bedside, my wife of 17 years, I said, "I'm not sure who she is, but I think I like her a lot." (Of course, I had to be TOLD I said this, because I can't remember ever SAYING this!!!) To hear my story, search KZbin for "Charles Frank Kurtz" (The audio is not the CLEAREST, but it's clear enough when you turn the volume up!)
@charliekurtz18956 жыл бұрын
Well done, and thank you for posting this! I learned this shortly after it was released by Jars of Clay, but I've had to re-learn EVERYthing after a nearly fatal brain aneurism nearly took aWAY everything! I was in a coma for 4 weeks, and when I regained consciousness, I will always be quoted for what I said when doctors asked me if I recognized the woman at my side, my wife of 17 years at the time, "I'm not sure who she is, but I think I like her a lot." (Of course, I had to be TOLD I said this because I can't remember much from those days!!!) If you're interested in hearing my story, search KZbin for "Charles Frank Kurtz", then help me spread word that miracles still happen to this very day! My being alive to even SAY this is miraculouos!!! (The audio on the KZbin video, friends have told me is not as clear, but I am grateful that I found your post of this Jars of Clay song!)

i can play much better than that honestly. i think u missed a couple of notes in the verses and u didn't include the intro. Nonetheless, u did a great job especially singing and playing at the same time. Because for me i find it hard to play and sing at the same time to this song especially the refrain part where i always ended up strumming the chords while singing instead of plucking it. More power to u bro!
