His long left thumbnail is often seen in video interviews. This is the longest I have seen it. Sometimes it seems that a cameraman zooms in on it or lingers on it, as if to say “WTF”. I have seen it mentioned in the text of print interviews, but interviewers don’t ask him about it. He doesn’t appear to need it to play guitar - he is right-handed and a long RIGHT thumbnail might be useful for playing guitar.
