I think the reason there was so much focus put on the gardenia float is because it's something from the 30s/40s and they were trying to make the audience wonder why Jane was familiar with something from that time period. The little mouth on the outlet is where the green ground wire goes. The ground is down in residential projects and up in commercial projects. The wiring behind the outlet is the same, no flames required. Why is this one ground up? It's likely on a set, which would be a commercial build, and the electrician popped it in no fucks given to cinematography. HERE IS WHY I AM EMOTIONALLY INVESTED. @morganp47603 жыл бұрын
They look more like mid 19th century dress to me, since regency silhouette is more "simple" looking (waistline right under the bust, women's beauty standards were heavily inspired by classical greek statues). The dresses in the show look more like 1850s-1860s to me due to the shape of the skirt (circular crinoline rather than the oval shaped bustle of the later decades), as well as the necklines being v shaped and sort of off the shoulder, typical for an evening gown of the mid 19th century. Still a historical inaccuracy if they were trying to go for when the novella was published in 1898, though.
