Sweden should make a blue and yellow Gripen for Airshows only, like Peter Blå Viggen, strip all the deadweight off, many countries have dedicated custom Airshow solo display planes.

I sort of agree with you, but at the same time I don't. Because Gripen as it is already puts on an amazing show even though it's not especially custom made for display performances. It's strategic abilities form the basis of every solo display, so these shows are actually displaying more or less exactly what this air craft is capable of aerodynamically. What they could do though is to give at least one individual air craft a special display paint job, just for the sake of showing off. I mean, a machine generating aprox. 40 000 horsepowers is a machine well worth some showing off.
