We lost my mom to a dementia disease also. My parents were married for 51 great years and had 7 kids. We all cared for mom at home until she passed away. My dad remarried a year later and his wife has been heaven-sent to my dad/our family. The wedding was beautiful and felt like a huge gift. They were in their late 70’s and now they are enjoying life and vacationing everywhere they can at 83 and 82 years old. So cool! Congrats to the new Mr. and Mrs. Dasher.

Unashamed has become my favorite podcast! I have went all the way back and started listening from the first episode of it. I also want you guys to know it has gave me the want and need to strengthen my relationship with God. I have been on fire for Jesus for a couple weeks since I started watching you guys it's to the point where my family and co workers are starting to think im crazy because the Good News is all ive been wanting to talk about! I have gotten on KZbin and watched you guys even doing your sermons. I LOVE LISTENING TO PHIL AND JASE PREACH! I shared the Easter sermon Phil did with my brother who is having the battle of Good vs. Evil right now and feels unworthy of eternal life because Satan knows God is trying to get his child and i haven't seen or heard my brother like he has been since! Thank you all! I just love your whole family since the duck dynasty days!

We die to sin when our desire to sin dies. When I was younger I had a desire to sin. Than sin itself taught me that it was not something to be desired. I learned that sin brings suffering.

Losing a spouse is hard as I lost mine at age 49 due to cancer. Families do not understand finding a new companion! Life as we know it changes everyday. We just keep our trust in God and step out in faith until God calls us home also. It’s difficult to navigate life sometimes when others think they know what is best for you!

I agree with you. Lost my husband to cancer in 2015. He was 50 and I was 46. We both loved each other. I gave 💯 to those in sickness and in health vows. I know he's at peace but the loneliness is still so hard

I love Jase. He is so wise....BUT....I want to hear Phil be able to express himself fully. He hurries so much it seems, because Jase IS going to override him. I believe Phil is so full of wisdom. I like Jase in the role, but Jase please give your wonderfully smart dad a chance to elaborate more. Dont overrride him when he speaks. You both are leading people to Christ, and it is beautiful to be able to hear a dad and son work together this way.

In previous episodes they mentioned that when they were younger they worked for the Duck Commander business. Whenever they answered the business phone if the caller asked for Phil they would turn and call out his name instead of saying "dad". Jase, Al, and Willie have called him Phil ever since. Jep is the only one who calls him "dad". I believe his daughter, Phyllis, also calls him "dad".

I've always told people this and even try to apply to my life. You will see this in all of the Apostle Paul's letters and even Peter's. They begin with theology then they move to practice orthopraxy what we do but it starts with how we believe and John says this if you love me you will obey me so our theology has to be right before we could do anything.

The rich young ruler needed to give up the love of money in order to love God with all his heart, soul and mind. I need to leave a particular sin daily to follow Jesus. What is it for you?

But honestly, if we think about it, wouldn't we all be willing to give up everything to gain eternal life? Wouldn't the richest person in the World be willing to give up everything he had so he didn't have to die? I mean what good is wealth when you're dead? Only a fool would say no to an offer like that. The problem is that people don't believe what Jesus said. If they did they'd be willing to give everything thy have to get what Jesus was offering.

what Jesus was telling the rich young ruler is : you have to do the impossible - you have to be born again - you cannot enter into the kingdom of God in your current condition . you have to stop being a leopard and start being a lamb ( take off those spots and put on a new life ) - impossible - only God can do that for us it is the same with the bible verse that says - first pull out the log that is in your own eye - then you will see clearly how to remove the stick from your brother's eye . HOW - can we do that ? we can't - it is impossible for us to pull out the log in our own eye - we must be born again before we can even recognize that the log is there . once we understand how the log is removed from our eye ( by the work of God ) then we can clearly see how the log is to be removed from our brother's eye - we all must be born again - that is the work of God and before that - there is no understanding of truth in our dead spirit because we are a slave to sin when Jesus told that man what to do - if God would have saved Him and gave Him the Holy Spirit - then that man would have understood and believed Jesus that it was true and possible for God to grant - however - that man was only operating with a natural mind because his spirit was not alive and he did not believe that Jesus told him the truth . it is the same way that everyone is saved - the impossible that we cannot do - is what God has already done for us - we just don't know it yet until he adopts us into His kingdom .

Do you murder? Without reason? Do you steal? Do you lie in court? Do you cheat on your partner? Do you cover other people's things? Do you honor your Parents? Do you Honor GOD the Father of Israel? Is Jesus Christ your redeemer? Don't tell me people don't keep the commandments after redemption we are not all fooled by Satan's cunningness. If you love me keep my commandments, I am redeemed by the blood of Jesus Christ and I obey him. That's a spiritual marriage. If you break those commandments I don't want you as a friend.
