My daddy was in the Navy during Korea, and he served the Army branch during Vietnam. My daddy had one of those dragon jackets Si talks about. It was black satin with a red fire breathing dragon on the back. My daddy passed away in 1999. I still miss him.

Up in good Gig Harbor Washington we are having the craziest weather. It has been raining so hard all night I can't see my front yard. We have had only a few days of 75 degree weather. I love it. I got into some yellowjackets on the pier on our pond when I was like, 8. Mom's remedy was baking soda in water made a salve, and it worked very effectively. I also once slid into a fire ant nest and my dad stripped me naked in the yard (this was suburban San Antonio) and sprayed me down with a hose in the back yard.

2 quickish stories. 1. I work for a medical helicopter company. We were flying along one day when the pilot announces, rather calmly, that something just crawled up his flight suit. He grabbed and held it and somehow landed the helicopter. 2. I went deer hunting one day about 1:00. I returned home about 2:30 wearing nothing but my underwear and boots. My wife happened to be in the yard while on the phone. I get out of the truck and hear her say “I need to go. My husband just came home naked”. Yep. I got distracted while driving into the woods and turned my atv over in a big mud puddle.

yall talking about proposals..... when I proposed, we had gone to the beach (pensacola campground beach)... we went for an evening swim and I left the ring on her towel.... when we came back it was gone..... she noticed me looking (in a panic) and looked down just as a crab about the size of a silver dollar brought it back out of its hole and put it on the blanket..... God made me look like some kind of hero crab controller.... well, it worked, but she has figured out that I'm not nearly the good..... luckily I am funny and good at lifting heavy objects, so we just celebrated 19 years the end of may.

I had to ask my wife to marry me on the phone. We dated in High School and separately joined the Air Force. I was stationed at Grissom AFB IN and she was in Technical School at Lowry AFB CO. Since I didn't want to go AWOL I had to ask on the phone. She said yes and we made plans. Then God miraculously brought her to Grissom AFB IN to serve which I am thankful for God's working so we could be together.
