Jase, thank you so much for making the long trip to Montana. My son and I had the pleasure of meeting you at the meet and greet and then hearing you speak afterward. My son says his only hero, rightly so, is Jesus. He doesn't have many plain ol’ humans he looks up to, but he considers you a role model. Getting to hear what you shared with us men that evening went a long way with him and has encouraged him greatly in his walk with Jesus.

Hell ya brother, stay strong. My father is a lifelong alcoholic. Hes got a good heart but tries to suppress the demons with the drink. Its been eating away at his mind finally in the last few years (early dementia signs). . Most of the family has all but abandoned him, think I was the last one to believe that he could change with positive influence but gave up this spring after one too many outbursts. Hes probably nearing the end of his life at this rate. His brother died a couple years ago in his chair after drinking himself to death. Its pretty tragic and a very dangerous substance not to be taken as lightly as most seem to take it, however ancient it might be. I pray every night that he is able to see the Truth and let his heart be made whole again, but its out of human hands and no one wants to be around his toxic side. Take care man, I like hearing success stories like yours.

@@BASEDinMaine Yea my dad was the same way , i can't ever remember him without a beer in his hand and a half pint in his boot . He told me one day that i had managed to do the one thing that he could not , by quitting drinking . But it was bitter sweet because he and i were drinking buddies. And at his funeral my cousin put a half pint of whiskey in my dads coat pocket .It's tough to watch them go through falling and dementia .After so many years they cannot stop , because their body has to have it.It comes to a point were all you can do is be there for them and love them.Stay strong for your dad , and i will be praying for both of you .

I’m 35 and have never touched a drop of alcohol. I might be able to control myself, but as a Sunday school teacher and a father of my own kids, how do I know the ones that look up to me CAN control themselves when they are “old enough.” Romans 14:21 says it is good to refrain from eating meat, or drinking wine or anything that causes your brother to stumble. So I wouldn’t say I’m against drinking, I would just be careful of where I am or who I am around. Much love for the guys, just hope they take that into consideration.

I grew up in the c of C and have had preachers try to say that the wine was simply grape juice and one went so far as to try to say that when Paul told Timothy to take wine for his stomach, he was advising him to rub it on his stomach. Nonsense. I personally have NEVER been drunk but I have the very occasional beverage. You certainly can drink without getting drunk. I love it when people tell the truth about things because when preachers try to say that drinking a little wine is a sin it takes all credibility away from Christianity. I find your pod cast refreshing and I gotta say Jase, I was like you, I waited until marriage and I am so proud and happy I did. I have now been married for 39 years.

The thing about drinking alcohol is that if you do something to cause a weaker brother to fall then you should not do it. First the man takes a drink and then the drink takes the man. 1 Cor; 8 But take heed lest by any means this liberty of yours become a stumblingblock to them that are weak. 10 For if any man see thee which hast knowledge sit at meat in the idol’s temple, shall not the conscience of him which is weak be emboldened to eat those things which are offered to idols; 11 And through thy knowledge shall the weak brother perish, for whom Christ died?

Rock, the bible tells us to love our brothers. It doesn't say love the people only you agree with. When Jesus walked the earth he didn't exactly pick the people that followed the word of God. Those folks don't need saving. It's not anyone's place to condemn another. Everyone can be saved.

Guys, regarding the water into wine: Jesus answered His mother about his death on the cross and about His BLOOD that would forgive us our sins. That's what he meant. The wine is also a celebration regarding the Groom = Jesus, and the Bride = we. The Savior began His Ministry right there. The barrels are for washing - symbolic for the washing away of sins. Think also for a moment of the last supper: what did Jesus there...? "He then took a cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you. This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins."

I always like how "Meshack" "Shader-rack: and "Bendigo" said before they were tossed into the fire, whether our God saves us or not, we will not bow.

I heard a temperance sermon from a the sheriff of Baxter Co Ark once. He pointed out the percentage of guests of the county that were not in any way intoxicated when they did the thing that landed them in jail. It was very very low.

You don't have to drink alcohol to be drunken. Those who are asleep in the church are drunken with life. Sobriety of spirit goes much deeper than refraining from a drink. "If you try to save your life, you'll lose it. Lose your life for my sake and you'll find it."

I think this passage is fitting for your alcohol in moderation talk...[10] And he called the multitude, and said unto them, Hear, and understand: [11] Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man; but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man.

Love your videos. It is a comfortable place to be for sharing spirituality. I have never lost my faith in God. But I have lost faith in organized religion. Too many times I have felt ostracized when I wouldn't blindly follow what they said.

Elk meat is amazing! My husband and I both filled our tags in Idaho this. Open invite to join us anytime on our off-grid homestead! Great episode! I have two questions - Jase mentioned the Bible he uses a couple weeks ago and rather trying to find that again could you share that info please? Also I know that the more you delve into the words the more you know and can refill recall and I also know that God Leads us at times too, but you guys are beyond amazing with your knowledge and quick and almost automatic reference to materials in the Bible. Did you guys use something to help you learn and memorize the Bible or is that just a direct result of living in it and studying it so much? You guys amaze me snd although I know much I sure would like to be able to reference it like you guys! Just amazingly wonderful to me! Keep doing what you are doing! God bless you all and your families! 🙏🏻🙌🏻

I have been by the shop, but it was a Sunday, I knew y'all would be at church. But I hoped there was a chance I could get baptized by Mr Phil down at the river. I still want to make it happen. But I doubt this post will get anyone of you guy's attention. I'm a trucker, so I can get there if I could only reach someone or vice versa. It would mean the world if that could happen!! Take care, I enjoy the podcast immensely. To have Phil baptiste me would be an experience of a lifetime.!!🎚🙏

My friend, it doesn’t matter who baptized you. The Ethiopian eunuch after hearing the word of God, as soon as he came to water, said “Here is water, what hinders me from being baptized?” The prison guard in Acts 16 went that very hour of the night to be baptized when he believed. Don’t put it off. 👍🏼
