Nupur Sharma has done a fabulous job with anchoring this session. It is not easy to create fresh content with celebs like these who have been interviewed a million times before. She exuded confidence, poise and deep understanding of the larger aspects their work represents. A total delight! I enjoyed listening to her as much as Javed ji and Shabana ji. She framed the conversation very well and the sangam of Hindi-Urdu with a smattering of English is the right way to take Urdu to new audiences.

THIS IS A MUST VIEW session - I watched this with my family a couple of evenings ago and was blown away by how this interesting conversation unfolds. Nupur Sharma has such a brilliant command over the Urdu language & speaks it so beautifully, hearing her feels a bit like listening to great music. After viewing this online, my family and I were left wondering if there is anyone in Pakistan currently, where Urdu is the national language, who could carry this conversation so well in our mother tongue. Shame.....nowhere is Urdu perhaps more neglected than in our English obsessed country Pakistan, where everyone is busy perfecting their British & American accents.

A great session celebrating not only Urdu but also the great geniuses Janesar Akhtar and Kaifi Azmi. No better people to discuss them but Shabana and Javed. They are India's leading liberal intellectual s , a product of the Ganga Jamuna Tehzeeb of India . They were nurtured by the great socialist thought of our country and thus have empathy for the under privileged. I loved revisiting this session on you tube after watching it live .
