I didn't pay $200 but $130 for some butterfly locs. But I want to learn how to do these myself bc the lady who did mine is a 30yr licensed beautician who combed through my hair so rough. I'm praying that I don't have any bald spots in my head when I take them out. I understand with me being natural my texture is more course than relaxed but that's still not a reason to comb so roughly through someone hair; literally pulling on it until I could feel the tension in my scalp. It will be a LONG while before I left anyone back on my head. Some are more focused on the style& don't give a durn about the damage they're doing to someone's hair. I refuse to pay someone money like that to make me bald.

I just tried this and I love it. My only advice is to commit to braiding each square. It makes the locks look realistic and prevents extra bulking when covering up cornrows.
@JasmineDefined3 жыл бұрын
Definitely! You’ll use less hair that way, also. 💕
@haneefahpoole48593 жыл бұрын
Can you explain this more? What do you mean commit?
@gossipchoppedandsrewed74103 жыл бұрын
@@haneefahpoole4859 in the video she started with the individual braids and toward the back she did cornrows ( to save time) when I did it I kept the individual braid pattern throughout my whole head. Once your new growth comes in it’s hard to tell it’s not natural. I got so many compliments on this style and it lasted 8 weeks. Plus you use less hair which gives it a more realistic look
