I am a 48 year old woman from Europe who has never been interested in American football or Taylor Swift. Since last year, I not only know the names of 3 American league players and their teams, but I also know what position they play/played, I know their wives, I immediately checked if the Chiefs won after the Superbowl finals in the morning and I started listening to Taylor Swift every day. Probably called something different elsewhere but essentially works directly one on one with kids that have behavioral or mental concerns that need special care (read special needs, almost always autism related) and good god the soul it takes to do that type of work is amazing. I showed her the work with the eagles autism foundation and how these guys are doing so much for that and I swear she spent nearly 20 minutes crying joyfully. Just knowing that there's a significant foundation that right now is getting a ton of support nationwide (if not internationally) it took time for her to come to terms with and realize the depth of support. We may not benefit from the program where we live, but knowing that there's something that impactful bringing that much attention to it means more that anyone can fathom. And that's from the para perspective. S parental perspective I can't even begin to imagine.
