Agree! However, they should not extend it after 5 seasons, then, it would become repetitive and boring. Take a look at "Breaking Bad" - 5 seasons, great formula, just well structured, and excellent character development...on the other hand, "The Walking Dead" became boring and ridiculous after 7 seasons.

Jason Batemans acting is by far one of best I’ve ever seen! He never overdoes anything and it’s just like he’s not even acting! You can see it in his interviews, he’s exactly like all his characters he’s played

Jason touched on one of the most important things for an actor to understand. Many actors are only looking at their performance and not seeing the film as a whole. An actor needs to consider how their performance will fit with the editing, sound, music, camera angle/movement, lighting, the scenes that come before and after, etc.

As the editor and director of my projects, what Jason says is true. You learn to be an editor as things are going on especially when you are the director as well. The other actors are jealous because acting is only one role. Jason is successfully handling 3. That takes special talent and the ability to pay attention to detail, be flexible and extremely organized.

Jason Bateman's experience in comedy makes his acting as Marty so much more entertaining and convincing. His little expressions and timing is so magical and vivid that you can almost see inside Marty Byrde's brain and understand him a multi-dimesnional, complex person.

I just want to say as someone with horrible anxiety problems, i am so jealous of Jason Bateman. He always seems so calm and removed from the ridiculousness of life the way i wish i could be. While other people are reacting, he is always observing and kind of rejecting. It feels like he's better than us. Because he kind of is. He's not down in the mud with humanity, he's above it, chuckling at it, and finding a calm solution to it. I like that. I strive for that. And i fail miserably.

I have not seen a Jason Bateman performance, for decades until I saw Ozark. I remember watching him as a child actor he was very good then, and he’s developed into a brilliant actor now. In addition to being a brilliant actor a great director and obviously very smart, I really like how humble he is, and how he always gives credit to the people he works with, being part of a great team. I think he’s one of the best contemporary talents in Hollywood.

Jason Bateman is the man. Before The Gift, I had only seen him in comedies so I thought he was a one trick pony but he blew me away in The Gift with Joel Edgerton. When first saw the trailer for Ozark, I was very intrigued and Jason has been great in Ozark. The fact that he's directing episodes is awesome too. He's clearly good at directing. I actually like some of Jason Bateman's comedies that he's starred in as well.

love Jason bateman. he was getting a little arrogant here in some ways but telling the truth about what he thought. when he said, you are all talented enough to understand this, I could see how that would offend them. but the show is awesome. best I've ever seen on Netflix and while I was watching it I did see that tone that Jason was talking about and figured that was his intention before ever seeing this interview. very talented guy. hope there are more seasons of Ozark. plus, love the surrounding, the Ozarks, beautiful, quiet, unique, mysterious, rural... thanks Jason for creating this. Ozark is Jason's big show for sure. Great cast and crew obviously. It must be very interesting for him to exec produce, act, direct, he prob does some re-writes, works on the editing and deals with concepts for the production . The idea for the 4 symbols that open the show that spell Ozrk with fore shadowing pics of what's going to happen, was Jason's idea. I saw an interview where he talks about knowing David Fincher's graphics guy and assigned this task to come up with the 4 symbol artwork. He gave him a list of key points of each episode so he could come up with symbols that relate to those plot points which also give you hint of what will happen in the episode, pretty clever. It must be amazing to have that kind of control of a great show like this which is one of the best Netflix original shows in their history in my opinion.

Love this series!!! I’m from the Ozark(s) and this series has it down!!! Although, I do have some stories that would blow away the writers of this show!!! The film takes place in Lake of the Ozarks which is on the far, upper-edge of the “real” Ozarks which starts to reveal it’s fantastic mountains going further south beginning in the Branson, Missouri area. The massive lakes are warm which made a dream come true to me as a kid!!! I do feel that the name of the show is titled incorrectly. It should be “OzarkS” or “The Ozarks” ... The Ozark mountain range goes into mid-Arkansas and Hot Springs, Arkansas (Mountain Valley water) is gorgeous and Eureka Springs is an artist’s haven. Silver Dollar City is a must go-to as well! Absolutely stunning and such a thrill growing up here. If we were on the show survivor, we would definitely win!!! I know my way around the deep woods and the myriad of lakes and creeks running through and had a pet raccoon named GiGi who was nurtured until she was old enough to go back into the woods. Getting around in nature is second nature to me. Love this show and even watched Season One all over again because I was soooo excited for Season Two!!! 🙌🏽
