He was amazing. I loved the story about them on a plane and Rosalynn took out a Tupperware bowl of pimento chesse and a loaf of bread and made them sandwiches even strangers. I loved that story. He gave a tribute to her. It is really sad, none of the major networks had it on tv, I watched it on CNN. It was a beautiful service. Thoughts and prayers to the family and especially Jimmy.

My first vote was for Carter. I think he was f**ked by the times, the Reagan boys with Iran. I grew up in Montana and calculated the national debt per person. At that time I would have willingly tried to pay my share. I donned a sweater, turned the heat down, wore slippers. I drove as little as possible as the Saudis did the same as before, raise crude prices putting pressure on American families. I felt patriotic. Sounds almost quaint, mid 1970s Archie and Maude days

Imagine when you’re gone everyone is listing your many accomplishments (somehow I don’t know that your list will be as long as hers) and some knothead has to say “yes he did all these good things,BUT…”.
