Either to change the end like it was a dream or what not or just have a new season in the past like between the movie and season 4. So Logan can be in. just some thoughts. I dont think VM can carry on completely without Logan....

I don't see it that way. Season 4 was so not classic VM, but I really enjoyed it. The end pissed me off massively, but If there were a season 5 that was as good as season 4, I would watch it gladly. BUT that ending guarantees that any other suitor will NEVER be accepted by the fandom. One could argue that that was already the case, but even though Logan had become pure Zen he could've done something to fuck it up. And Veronica is fucked up, too, she could've done something, too. But how it stands the fandom will never accept another one. An aside, I think now even the last one has realized that they can never give us a satisfying end to the show, we just want more.

I don't think he's dead. We never see him actually get into the car. The monolog when she's leaving town says "On my way to see you." At the beginning, in episode 1, her monolog is as if she's writing to someone, cause she says, "I'll start at the beginning of the end..." I think the whole narrative is a letter to Logan. He's somewhere, but he's not dead. Rehab for injuries, restationed, maybe he even, in some twisted way, got the wrap for the bomb and is in prison. If there is a Season 5, it will probably go back and replay the year that is in between the car bomb and the ending scenes. My guess, V blames herself for Logan ALMOST getting killed, he wants her to get out of the PI biz, for her own safety, but she can't allow herself to do that. So once again, their relationship suffers..., that is "end" she is referring to. Just a theory. Oh WHY can't TV shows give us at least a few episodes of lovers bliss, instead of blowing it up, literally, in the next scene??!! SIGH!!! 😑

Late to the party here. BUT, I do like to say a character isn't dead unless you see them take their last breath or if there's a funeral. With that being said, and I truly do not believe they'd do this, but they could if they wanted, the scene could start with Logan safely parking the car, walking towards the stairs, and some men from the military grab him and pull him around the corner saying they have to take him away quickly for a "secret mission" or whatever, then the bomb goes off and they go flying off and we don't see if he and the military dudes survived, but we do see that he didn't blow up IN the car. Then more than a year later we see Logan getting news that he is no longer needed on the assignment and can return home, so he goes home looking for Veronica.. they cross paths and she looks as if she sees a ghost, "is it really you? i thought.." and he's like, "I know, I'm sorry, I was taken away to a top secret mission and couldn't contact anyone and I hate that, I know it was unbearable for both of us especially with the bomb going off but they wouldn't let me contact anyone." Tears ensue... Veronica's mad but happy and then they reunite in their usual passionate way! *fingers crossed* haha

For me, the series ended at the wedding. It is how it should have ended. And i was never even a fan of logan as a life partner, but the whole season was about veronica choosing what she wants from life, and she did. veronica desereves to be happy. She's suffered enough tragedies. And his death was so meaningless, there was enough gore as it is. sure sometimes life happenes but it's a tv show, it doesnt have to be like that.

@@gabbyburton1999 It's not "the" story, it's "a" story. It could have been different. The original story for the 4th season was veronica mars bringing her shenanigans to the FBI. But no one picked it up, so he wrote something else. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad he did, i just don't like the way he wrote the ending. In sci-fi, writers bring dead characters back to life all the time, due to popular demand and well money demand lol ...unfortunately i don't think that a resurrected logan would fit in this series 😂 Haven't decided yet if I'd continue to watch, should there be a season 5. Also, i can watch something and still criticize it 💁

Seeing a lot of Jason interviews pop up on youtube these days. Yes, get this great guy as much exposure as possible. Jason's awesome on Veronica Mars, but extremely talented and worthy of more/other opportunities, imo. I know he's been on a few other TV shows too, but he's still pretty underrated, imo. I think he'd be good in the Blumhouse horror/action movies. They use a lot of lesser known actors who still put in great performances in cool, fun movies.

I owe Logan and Veronica a big thank you for shaping the parts of my personality i love the most today, i grew up watching and rewatching without realizing that i was soaking in their mannerisms like a sponge, now that i'm 28 and i'm re-rewatching the full show the thought has hit me like a ton of bricks (in a good way), i will never get over how dirty Rob Thomas did Logan at the end of the 4th season even if he explained the actual meaning behind it, it feels like i lost a family member and i'm crying like a maniac just thinking about it.

They set it up to where Logan is gone for weeks for work. If Rob Thomas wanted to focus on just Veronica and have her outside of Neptune, have her do that when Logan is deployed. And bc we've already seen their 'love story', we can focus on the mystery like Rob wants. If Logan really died in S4, Veronica will probably get new love interests, and then you'll have to focus on that, taking away from the mystery. Logan and V were finally just happy together. They fought so much in earlier seasons, esp 3. They basically made the movie to give them their happy ending and now they took it away. Sure, I'd rather them be in love and he dies, versus they break up. But my favorite part of the show was seeing LoVe happy together. Logan is so funny and his wit matches Veronica. The show needs Logan's character. Have him be in a coma, it still fits w the ending. And don't break them up again, so no more teenage 'on-off again'. They're just a mature adult couple w normal issues. She needs him, he reminds her of her roots but also grounds her and makes her remember what's important when she becomes obsessive. And focus on mysteries. I honestly don't think I want to watch without Logan.

I'd like to add that rob is brilliant bc the way he ended season 3 mirrored the pilot only instead of weevil beating up logan for veronica it's logan doing the beating..the dialogue is even similar with logan telling the guy to apologize to veronica and her saying she didn't want his apology, i like to think both logan and veronica recalled that moment which is why the smiles between them is just *chef's kiss*

I'm amazed at how well he played the role. He's so convincing as the selfish, vindictive jerk in Season 1 and also in the invulnerability he shows later. I never understood people who get into fights & do dumb things without thinking of the consequences - Jason's portrayal of Logan is the first time I've understood it.

Jason Dohring is an excellent actor; truly professional and commits his all into his acting. Rob Thomas made a promise to the fanbase in the film; it wasn't spoken out, but MANY (I've had too many online fights to include the entire fan base, UNFORTUNATELY, because some fans are cynical, and cruel, inconsiderate and downright hateful.) of the fans supported the series based on that unspoken promise we received during the film. That Logan and Veronica would last as long as the show did. He amputated the show, permanently. And no amount of defense about how women can't be interesting if they aren't broken (Good God I feel intense sympathy for that asshats wife, Mrs. Thomas wherever she is, and more importantly for his daughters and nieces' futures.) will ever grow that limb back. The only redeeming thing is that the amputee will grow back a full body of elevated, and hopefully far superior work thanks to Rob Thomas'' naked hubris.

Crazy to think that they didn't understand that the entertainment value from the show came from not just Keith, Veronica and Logan (although it was a huge part) but Mac, Weevil, Wallace, Dick and they completely screwed the pooch by taking a sledge hammer to that formula.

the show may be called Veronica Mars, but the truth is, he carries the show just as much as the titular character does. for some even more. cos as a female it was infuriating to watch V being reduced as a character by keep giving her multiple love interests. they could've written an arc where she was just tired of men, and just having fun, no strings attached. so she had time to work on her actual priorities without a risk of having another drama/heartbreak. but no, they had to write her the way the did, and it's just dumb. the last straw was Piz. exactly why I stopped watching midway season 3. even in season 4, the way V was written, or maybe the way Kristen portrayed her, just made V obnoxious and unlikeable. and God, Mac was missed. cos she's a better character in my point of view. doesn't easily throw herself from one guy to another, plus there's some certain charm to her. just like the way Jason portrayed Logan. he added this weirdly cute, charming and playful element to the character, and it's so fun to watch him onscreen. but of course they had to take him out too. smh. they said they wanted to make a darker show, but the mystery in season 4 was so so crappy and not compelling at all. then they removed one of the biggest reasons why ppl still even bother to watched. what a joke.
