Great to see Jason on the channel, one of the most down to earth, modest and friendly guy I’ve had the pleasure to meet. Nice video guys 👍

Couldn't agree more, I shoot a 6.5x55 using 93grn RWS evolution green at 3340. Devastating, if we're to go lead-free, then these in 6.5 are a game changer.

@@buckrussel3808 I'm south of the border, but what's the restriction in Scotland?
@paulharter2343 Жыл бұрын
@buckrussel3808 is that for reds? Interesting as you guys north of the border can use a .22 on Roe, we're restricted to. 240 and above for Roe and bigger. RWS are also making the Evolution Green in .270 as well, but again with a 92grn head, looks like they're missing a trick if they want to sell them in Scotland.

It seems they are going to reduce the grains to 80 for 243 anyway in Scotland.

Nice to see Jason back on screen, and as an Argyll man, could not agree more that the .270 is the best machine for highland work. The choice of bullet weights is excellent depending on the quarry being saught.

Lovely video and what a stunning bit of ground! I must say that the invisible bullet at 14:48 did it’s job 😅. Keep the videos going 👍🏻

Interesting Jason’s take on the 6.5 Needmore. A better all around alternative 264 Win Mag or 6.5 PRC

Well put together even though when he reloads no empty cartridge leaves the rifle. This is a good example of how to put many clips together to make it look like the perfect stalk. Aiming over a hedge is fine but no chance the camera operator was able to get there and keep the deer unaware. Well done a great editor.

Fantastic video as ever, think that rifles broken, when he cycled it after the shot no casing come out 😂

Nice lesson. It can go wrong for even the best. And when it does, you feel so bad about it. (I doubt the anti's quite believe how much we emotionally invest in stalking/hunting.)

Do y’all have tags in the uk? Here in the us you need a tag for every animal but I never her of or see uk hunters tag animals. Are there game wardens there?
@hammyh1165 Жыл бұрын
No game wardens and no tags and you can shoot deer all year round , can also shoot as many as you want. No public land though , you have to have landowners permission. Oh and you can sell your deer carcases here to game dealers , so you can even make money .
@colepriceguitar1153 Жыл бұрын
@@hammyh1165 I guess since the landowners own the deer and not the state they don’t care about managing them.
@tomhunteroutdoors Жыл бұрын
@@colepriceguitar1153 we have less deer hunters than the USA so it's not an issue.

Deer stalk for long enough you will have a 'bad go'. Any stalker who says otherwise is not being truthful...not that Jason had one.
@marks1014 Жыл бұрын
Why didn't you show the shot placement? The shot reaction looked good. Using someone else's rifle never helps for super accurate shooting I guess but that's the reason for the HL shot which gives a really big margin of error . Nice realistic video to watch though guys. Keep them coming.

Great video, but you are one lucky guys, but it takes something else to get into hunting in Scotland, as its full of nepotism, or you have cash, especially on argyle and bute
