I've watched plenty of Garret's interviews here in DP's platform, and I've enjoyed them, but this segment here was the best of them all. Great info and insight. It's taken a while, but I'm at a point where I look forward and enjoy hearing Jason comment on everything football

Agreed …. Well thought out answers and informative views . Him , Ross Tucker and Steve Young are my favourite guests on the show .
@cjokerp12 сағат бұрын
@Gordie-v7n ... Agree with Tucker, not on board with Steve Young. Young has never been a good analyst of Football, IMO, since he's gotten into TV. But to each it's own, there are a segment of fans who like what Steve has to say

As a Cowboys fan, I’ve done a 180* on him. I’m glad he’s having success. I didn’t like him as a coach but I also put blame on the ownership in Dallas given the type of coaches they want to coddle the players. I enjoy the games he’s called so far. He can take Collinsworth spot.

he's a good and knowledgeable dude and not being HC material is not a character flaw ... in fact just the opposite .... most of the successful HCs are horrible human beings better to be a good human being

Wish he could take Collinsworth and his glazing out of the booth.

Russell Wilson is following the Kurt Warner 2nd act script. Warner went to the Giants after he left the Rams, played decent but not incredible, gets benched & everyone says he's washed & should retire. Then Warner goes to Arizona as a backup, but once he gets in the starting lineup he plays like a top 3 QB similar to how he did during his Rams/MVP/Super Bowl years. He leads the Cardinals to the Super Bowl where they barely lose but still puts up a few more excellent years after that before calling it a career. Hopefully Russell's going to keep playing well & leads the Steelers deep into the playoffs. It'd be nice if the football world starts putting some respect on Russell's name again & he finishes his HOF career the way he wants

Crazy for Dan to call the eagles and bills and underdog story
@billstrat291715 сағат бұрын
Does Dan know what "hypothetically" means? What a sneak. He uses the word, then asks straight out if Garrett was ever told to play somebody he didn't want to play (by whom, I wonder. Hmm.) Garrett doesn't take the bait and talks around it. Good for him.

yes, dan knows what the word “hypothetical” means.

Get rid of the “giving them selves up” concept. It may be counterintuitive, but it would ultimately make things safer for a ball carrier. Slide all you want. Dive all you want but you will not be considered down until you are touched. It keeps the ball carrier more aware and thus safer. If someone hits the carrier while he’s on the ground instead of simply touching him, it’s a penalty. It had been that way for decades and it was never a problem. Roger Staubach used to slide fairly regularly and he never got hurt while doing so. His injuries never had anything to do with him sliding or trying to get extra yardage on a scramble. It’s pretty simple. When players feel protected, they get a false sense of security and they play a bit more reckless.

nobody on an NFL field feels secure dude. i understand your thought process but you’re not really considering how absolutely violent and fast the NFL is. QBs know it.

just treat running QB like RB or WR once past the line of scrimmage will cut back on all of this bullshit and will cut back on designed QB runs ... life goes on
