No, they DIDN'T. Lebron had ONE 8 point game. In a 6 game series, that will bring your average down. If you eliminate that game, he had a good series. He had 25, 9, 5 in Game 1 on 9-16 and 4-5.from 3. In Game 2, he had 20,8,4 on 8-15 shooting. Game 3 he had 17,3,9 assists. Game 4 was the 8 point game. Game 5, he had a triple double, and Game 6, he had a 20 point triple double. That 2011 Lebron tried to be a strict point guard and didn't attack the paint as much as he is capable, but he wasn't as bad as revisionist history makes it.

@@emmanuelenyinwa1443 Lol. I'm old enough to remember those 'stats' in real time. You should watch those games; back and forth aside, the second round on is probably some of the best playoff basketball. ///// About the 'stats', if you take away the first round - Because everyone struggled even Dirk and Terry by their standards had a dip in numbers that series - JJ would've averaged more points at a more efficient rate (10.5pts @45% shooting vs 8.3pts @35% shooting) all while playing 15mins less than Kidd. ////// If you take a look at each series, you'd notice JJ had a game or two where he about 20 or over. Those games in particular were flat offensive games for the Mavs and out of no where this guy off the bench would kick start the Mavs offence by being able to penetrate the opposing defense. From there its a pass, shot or Foul draw but the point is if it wasn't for his dribble penetration they don't make up those points. ////// Having him guard the High post was a nightmare because it'd confuse players. Good basketball would teach you to take advantage of the mismatch but the Mavs would invite the high post up as bait to funnel you to their bigs waiting at the rim. Even with that he was crafty enough to draw charges. Thats why LeBron had an 8point performance in the finals with JJ guarding him. ////// I could go on and dissect every game but its just better to watch them. Dude was certified as undrafted FA.

Huge Bron fan here. Its not that fact he lost to the mavs after playing pathetically that series, it’s the fact how he left us (cavs) after saying he needed more help to win a ring just to get the help which was way more than enough. Then get to the finals and then the team was looking for him for the help and he folded. Smh then he went after the series was over and talked about how we the fans can go back to our normal jobs ect while he will go back to his mansion millionaire life. That was the day I gave up on defending him and seen what a lot of people who hate but was also correct about how he carried himself. He made up for it today but that will never be forgotten.

Bruh LeBron was like only 25-26 in that Mavs-Heat finals with the pressure and hate of the world at his neck. Let go because it’s not fair to hold those remarks from a decade ago forever. He’s directly inspiring and changing thousands of kids lives and opportunities while being squeaky clean off and a role model off the court for 20 years. Give him a break dude

When an all time great superstar player’s biggest criticisms comes from a press conference or interview that’s when you know people are charmin soft. He told the media pundits who’ve been raining down to question his will to even play the game and then to even question his personal character, yeah big fuckin deal dude tough break. Move along.

What the fuccin fucc I stg this is my very first time ever hearing someone (and J. Kidd NOT just anyone) speak and reference D mf Steve. That's my guy. He's been to my house to eat my mother's cooking (rip ma) along with Chris Jeffries. I went to every single one of his high school games (yes, home and away, scrimmages, tournaments, reg szn, playoffs valley to state and can't not mention the games/tournaments throughout the off-season with his AAU team; EBO. DaShawn and DeShawn together, hardest duo, insane athletism in the bacc court (fun fact; they both played for Union and EBO). I remember claiming him as my favorite NBA player when drafted from Union (Washington Union HS in Easton, CA, pretty much Fresno, CA) basically my alma mater (c/o 08'). I was only 10, 11 years old when he was drafted so don't judge me lol. I could talk or write about him for awhile and as I can see for myself, this comment is waaaayyyyyyy too long as it is. Sorry everyone who may have read or skimmed. Lol. Much love.

Mavs was a team with more experienced players and they played smarter. Heat got out coached. The chemistry of Lebron, Wade and Bosh was not there 100%. Also Heat had a weak center and a weak PG. Mike Bibby was more washed up than Kidd. Kidd provided 3 shooting, passing and defense. More than Mike Bibby. Tyson Chandler is easily a better center than Joel Anthony. Much better defender, rebounder and higher FG%. Tyson Chandler was top 5 defensive center of that time.

Miami was getting by off their talent up to that point. Dallas made them play a half court game, and D-Wade, Bron, and Bosh, hadn’t really perfected that all season. I think Bron didn’t want to overstep on Wade since Miami was his team before he got there.
