You should watch those games; back and forth aside, the second round on is probably some of the best playoff basketball. ///// About the 'stats', if you take away the first round - Because everyone struggled even Dirk and Terry by their standards had a dip in numbers that series - JJ would've averaged more points at a more efficient rate (10.5pts @45% shooting vs 8.3pts @35% shooting) all while playing 15mins less than Kidd. ////// If you take a look at each series, you'd notice JJ had a game or two where he about 20 or over. Those games in particular were flat offensive games for the Mavs and out of no where this guy off the bench would kick start the Mavs offence by being able to penetrate the opposing defense. From there its a pass, shot or Foul draw but the point is if it wasn't for his dribble penetration they don't make up those points. ////// Having him guard the High post was a nightmare because it'd confuse players. Good basketball would teach you to take advantage of the mismatch but the Mavs would invite the high post up as bait to funnel you to their bigs waiting at the rim. Even with that he was crafty enough to draw charges. Thats why LeBron had an 8point performance in the finals with JJ guarding him. ////// I could go on and dissect every game but its just better to watch them. Dude was certified as undrafted FA.

LBJ performance in these finals is the biggest mystery in sport's history. Especially considering how great he played against the Celtics just before ...
@Johnkoth2 жыл бұрын
Mavs was a team with more experienced players and they played smarter. Heat got out coached. The chemistry of Lebron, Wade and Bosh was not there 100%. Also Heat had a weak center and a weak PG. Mike Bibby was more washed up than Kidd. Kidd provided 3 shooting, passing and defense. More than Mike Bibby. Tyson Chandler is easily a better center than Joel Anthony. Much better defender, rebounder and higher FG%. Tyson Chandler was top 5 defensive center of that time.

Miami was getting by off their talent up to that point. Dallas made them play a half court game, and D-Wade, Bron, and Bosh, hadn’t really perfected that all season. I think Bron didn’t want to overstep on Wade since Miami was his team before he got there.
