Find a safe space if this question triggers you. The question was basically how they were bad in clutch last year but are among beat this year? It's as bland and easy as you can hope. He literally said in question that Mavs are now among best in clutch. That is a positive. Grumpy McGee was given a softball where he could have talked about how they have only played a few months together with Irving and they are getting better the more they grow together. Could have talked about the additions, etc. It was NOT a hard or negative question so to say "more positive" is simply idiotic.

Other than he's completely wrong obviously. Reporters write angles and stories that get clicks and eyeballs. Throwing shade at Kyrie or Lebron or whatever great player gets way more clicks and eyeballs than a positive one. So yeah reporters are to blame, but so is the audience for what they want to read. I'm not saying Kidd's frustration was misplaced, only that it was not 100% a fact that people will read positive stories, it was 100% inaccurate.

And previously he was the one who created the so called "tension" between Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert (both later saying it was media created). He also tried to paint Jalen Green as a "thug" because he goes to nightclub's, and Zach Lowe disagreed with him

Kidd is one of my favourite players of all-time. His no-B.S. attitude came through in his play style and on-court demeanor and it's on full display here. It's great to see, really. I wish more players and coaches had the same attitude when dealing with some of these media people.

All they focus on in media is the bad, or only making a very few look good with their captions and stories.
