is that a 00 15M that Maestro is strumming? That axe has accompanied Jason for a long time from what I can tell. I can't say exactly what it is about Jason that aligns with my soul. Yes, the quirkiness of the early stuff drew me in. Later I began to envision Lytle as a visionary, a kind of Modesto Prophet shouting down from the Montana mountaintops, bringing us the Ten Good Stoneds. There are times I can listen to nothing but Jason. Then I go through long droughts of avoiding the News from the Mountaintop. Then I open my ears again. Be it mid 90s GD, Arm of Roger, AdRad, or pure deLytle, there is an element of ancient knowledge wafting between the lines of an Jason song. I am forever indebted.

So funny you say that, I know of him because my dad went to one of Bowie's last concerts and he mentioned how real bands like grandaddy don't get any love.

Bowie has been to Grandaddy shows before. He came 2 nights in a row to see the band. First night he was decked out like you would expect. 2nd night he adopted the Grandaddy look with flannel shirt and trucker cap.
