Jason Nez is a straight-up good man. I met him in Superior, AZ. He treats people with respect.

I'm reacting to this 2 years after it's original posting, as society has been experiencing cultural reckoning from all angles. I listen to this gentleman express himself, put his dignity and pride of belonging forward, share what his life experiencing has offered him, and I pause to wonder how we got to a place in time when so many are unseen and marginalized in plain sight. It's all rather messy in the way human relationships have always be messy. I hope for our sake, we see and hear each other. Their are many ways of knowing. White cultural ways are not better, yet they have had a disproportionate influence on what we accept as a society.

This was far beyond fantastic. I'm Irish. But we left the green isle well over six generations ago. We had clans and tribes too, but I have no idea what they are. His explanation helps me out quite a bit. Thanks.
