Years ago, my late lady asked me to take her to a music store as she wanted to buy a special CD. In the store, from a distance, I saw her speaking to a salesperson, who shook his head repeatedly. As she could not get the CD that she wanted, we left. In the car, she asked me if I ever heard of a song that had lyrics 'I'm your lady, you are my man'. I knew it well, and told her the name (this song), and she bolted back into the store, and bought the CD. We got home, she sat me down. put on this song, and sat on my lap and hugged me, as we listened. She then told me that she wanted to surprise me with the song, and its meaning for us. As time went on, I would sing this for her often (of course changing the words for a male), which she enjoyed. A wonderful, yet very emotional memory for me. Believe it or not, only recently (a few weeks now) I heard, for the first time, a male version (Mark Vincent). (Maybe I didn't want to hear one before. I don't know. For years it was hard for me to listen to the song.) Thanks for this (another) great version of a beautiful song.
