That is so totally true. The mob stuff doesn't bother me as much as the hypocrisy. You're not afraid to tell a mob story, but you can't tell a succesful I/R romance. Look what they did to Gia and Nik. Those two were oozing chemistry and bam! Done. Keesha and Jason were the epitome of a classy, young, American couple. What was so wrong with them? That they were two different colors. They are the reason why I starting thinking outside the box when it came to dating. Sonny and Laney had potential.

Now THAT would be a story worth watching! Liz and Sam think they have a monopoly on Jason's affections because they each have a child by him. That would really throw them for a loop since his child with Keesha would be his firstborn, therefore before both of their children. How can Jason not have a glimmer of the love he had for Keesha or recall that they lost their virginity together. He acts as if Robin is the first woman he had a real love connection with.

Ladies and gentlemen, I’d said “from the very beginning”, that I Knew this relationship would NOT last because very sadly even til this day, the soaps (and tv as a whole) has a disgusting and shameful track record with ‘interracial relationships’, that they DON’T intend to EVER change. When ‘Days of Our Lives’ killed the “David Banning and Valerie Grant” storyline in ‘the ‘70’s’, that did it for us and Richard Gutherie the actor who played David Banning was just as disgusted as we were back then (he said that he’d been waiting for their characters first kiss, which turned out better than he thought). Lastly, it’s NOT just the soaps folks, actor Jim Caviezel of ‘Person of Interest’ on CBS was just as disappointed, that he never got the chance to have an on screen romance with “Taraji P. Henson, so sadly ALL of this is NOTHING new

And then ABC punked out and broke them up but the way they did it was so nasty and awful, I never forgave GH for it and have hated every single Jason paring since and still hate Jason because of it. The only thing that would make me like Jason again would be if Keesha came back to Port Charles with Jason's secret love child that she never told him about because he had been so nasty to her when he became "emotionless"..

That isn't true at all, the most discriminated or ostracized minority are in a sense the people of the lbgtq community,just ask Kaitlyn Jenner, formally known as Bruce Jenner and in soaps particularly General Hospitals, gay couples last for maybe 2 seconds, there should be more diversity on G and there was no sound reason, other than a dated prejudice among the writers/producer, against Spanish speaking girls, that they couldn't of put Brenda and Jason together,who had the hottest chemistry together, the bottom line for GH,today the writers and producers suck , they just can't write ,diverse cast or not, during this period at least and here with Keesha and Jason, then Robin and Jason, they could kindof write.

@@rebeccaphlly7916 Well, I am here to say that has all changed in the last three years. You can't turn on daytime TV or nighttime TV without seeing at least one or two gay couples per show. Sometimes, like on 13 Reasons Why you have a lesbian couple as well as one or two gay couples, while you still have just the token black, Asian, or Hispanic characters who are always just the best friend. Showing more racial diversity and interracial relationships with longevity to me should be the main priority before bombarding us with all these lesbian and gay couples. In my experience you are more likely to see interracial couples and diverse races on a daily basis as compared to gay couples. I have yet to meet a gay couple and other than people I have seen on the streets, out and about town, I am in my 50s and don't personally know of many gay people, coupled up or otherwise.

No, @LifeIsNororious, the GH fan base did! The ones who wanted Jason with anyone other than a black girl. The outcry against the pairing was so loud that they had to make Jason forget about Keesha by giving him brain damage from the crash. Well before this, on Ryan's Hope, they tried to be the trendsetters by pairing Frank Ryan with a black woman. Unfortunately, the fans didn't want him with anyone other than Jillian, especially not a black woman. After the outcry, they quickly nipped that storyline. Once I read why, I knew then the writing was on the wall when it came to interracial couples.

@tiarakf Steve Burton felt that as Jason Q., his character was not going to go anywhere, stuck in the whole "goody two shoes" role. He was excited when they had Jason become a bad boy because that meant more of a meatier story for him and a chance to work with other leads and as a lead himself. I don't begrudge him for wanting to do something different. Some soap actors have played the same role & very little else in their careers. I just don't think they had to sacrifice J&K's love for it.

During that time in the early and mid 90's , a lot of shows did always made sure condoms was brought up because that was the height of HIV and aids breakout. A lot of shows also did aids and HIV stories. Almost all the ABC soaps at the time had a character with hiv or aids. Nowadays , its like its been swept under the rug not only on daytime television but primetime drams dont talk about protection. I think the writers want us to presume that the characters are using protection.

I was young too so I wasnt watching back then either. But from clips and character profiles I've read after Jason's accident he didnt remember who she or anyone was. He didnt even bother trying. He was really bitter angry towards everyone who wanted to help him. That's how he became Jason Morgan and he eventually started working for Sonny.

Right! And before that Tom Cudahy and Olivia on All My Children. He was one of Erica's exes. If I am not mistaken, they were a rarity in daytime TV because they actually got married and if I am not mistaken stayed together. They could have done so much with Keesha and Jason. I liked them together and the possibility of a love triangle between him, keesha, and AJ had actually been portrayed in the promos. I heard that they had so much of a backlash from a certain group of viewers who didn't want not one but two golden boys from the Quartermaine family having a love story with Keesha. Soon after they came up with the car accident and brain damaged Jason dumped Keesha, quickly turning to Robin instead. The producers at the time were too afraid of their public to pursue an interracial relationship. Even now, whenever they do, they never keep them together for the long haul. They are just a passing fancy or a transitional person to go to while they get over their "true" love. Such a pity, really.

This is the couple that first drew me to GH. They were so sweet and innocent. I did not like the way they broke them up. Jason was so brutal. I did not like how they paired him with Robin afterwards. Why has it seemingly never occurred to anyone at GH that having JQ re-emerge, in bits and pieces, and watching as the 2 sides of the same person (JQ/JM) try to come to terms with one another. Having Keesha come back to town as the catalyst that jostles those old JQ memories in JM's head wouldn't be so bad either. I'm a little weary of the mob hits myself!

Yes AJ did. Originally before they scrapped the storyline they were supposed to have a love triangle. They did let AJ and Keesha have a relationship but because of his guilt over the accident he was drinking too much so Keesha grew weary of all his self pitying ways and soon broke up with him.

Since Steve Burton is coming back, it may be a good time to reinvent his character. Perhaps bring back some of Jason Q? Not completely but, a mix of both Jason Q and Jason M. Maybe even revisit his relationship with Keesha? These two had some great chemistry and the actors truly made the pairing something. I think it would be interesting if the writers did try to revisit it after all these years.

Serena James Edward was Jason’s and Justice’s grandfather. Mary Mae was Kesha’s and Justice’s grandmother. Jason and Keesha weren’t related by blood.

Keesha and Justice were cousins. They shared Mary Mae as their grandmother. One of Mary Mae's children was Justice's father, Bradley, who happened to be Edward's Quartermaine's son. Keesha is the daughter of Mary Mae's other son, so she's not related to the Quartermaines at all. *Side Note:* I know Justice has a full (as opposed to half) sister and she's alive and kicking and is also Edward's grandchild. She appeared once on the show.

Jason was best with Keesha, Robin, Carly, and Liz. I stopped caring about anyone Jason was with courtney came along. I liked courtney and sam but nowith jason. I stopped watching when they went after becky personally to fire her because of the favoring or jasam to liason WHILE she was pregnant in real life. I watch liz clips but I remember jj Lucky. He he came back round two they could of done so much. But decided to run her name threw the mudd. Glad jj won an emmy but ll2 could have been the next laura and luke. They attempted to ruin liz/becky herbst.
