Hey thanks for watching...actually the first part(before the harp mic is picked up) is in C minor and I'm using a F harp in 2nd position...the I switch to a Bb harmonica and then begin playing in third position. Thanks again for watching! J

Jason Ricci? I find myself feeling both an abject jealousy- and a practical worship of the man for his abilities. This (and most other videos featuring him on KZbin) is an almost vulgar display of unbelievable musical talent. I've watched it at least a dozen times and I'm STILL in awe.

I can't even imagine the hours Jason has put into perfecting his art. Even if he was a musical prodigy, I don't know if is he or not, it still takes an enormous amount of time, effort and dedication to become such an master! Truly amazing performance.

Garry...what I think most people don't realize is just how many days on the road these guys spend and how much time they take getting TO these gigs...the long hours driving to and from...and how exhausted they are by the time they're on stage. They actually enjoy the little breaks they get when each gets a long solo...They've played together so long (as you know)...especially Jason and Shawn, they're so connected...they have it down to a science..can read each other's minds. It all works.

spent the last few days watching jasons vids. just amazing to say the least. i thought i could play.. lets just say there is alot more possible on a harp and i think this fella has all of it.. bending notes that i just didn't think were possible.. can't figure out the difference from the middle notes which are easy to bend and overbend and barely getting

just look at his face when he plays, the expression and nuance he puts into his vibrato and his bends, the power of his timing, this is pure blues man. When ever someone says this isn't blues because its too technical or too many notes is just jealous they can't play like him.

@@RorytheRoman Face making doesn't mean feeling! This guy is about how many licks you can throw in at any given time! John Lee Hooker's favorite harp player "Blind Owl" Alan Wilson, played with 100 times more feeling, and soul, than this marathon here!
