I appreciate the perspective you've brought to this. I was deeply moved by the daughter’s interview as well. However, it was John’s testimony regarding the physical abuse he suffered at his mother’s hands that truly struck me. The thought of a mother harming her child to the point of unconsciousness is unimaginable. Her actions seem as reprehensible as those of her husband, whom many have rightly condemned.

Is it really unimaginable?? He preached openly about beating his kids many times. It's a very fine between that and abuse I would imagine it's very normal for people to go to far.

You can't compare Saul with Anderson because Saul was a legitimate king and Anderson was not because he was never ordained. Also a king and a pastor aren't the same thing and don't have the same qualifications

I've seen a couple of sermons by this Robinson guy and thought they were pretty good. I was wildly disappointed to find out that he was a part of the "New" IFB cult. I hope he doesn't believe the twisted doctrine preached by Anderson and he should thank the Lord that he's not involved with Anderson anymore

It pains me to say this, however, one of the reasons why people like Stephen Anderson fail is because they become so consumed by "standing by the word of God" they are unable to see that Christ did not preach "king james only" ...he rejected the legalism of that kind of thinking. Christ gave us a simple task...give up everything you own and follow him! Christ showed us that we need to spend less time on the regulation put forward by the pharasees and more time being a good samaritan. A good samaritan is not a KJV only proponent. All that one must do is to do unto others as we would have them do unto us..."in as much as you do it to the least of these my bretheren, you did it to me"!

This pastor threw stones without giving even a single reason as to why, nor did he address any of the actual issues, such as biblically what is the husbands authority in the home, and what methods of recourse can he use to exert his authority. Not a single point was put forth to give credence to the accusers or to the accused, not a single claim was examined. It was just an emotional 'I heard the interview of the woman who was sad, therefore 100% the man must be bad'. I would like to hear these pastors preach on biblically what exactly is the husbands authority in the home, is it optional, and what methods does he have at his disposal to exert his authority over a disobedient wife/child?

Steven Anderson preached on his ab*se towards his wife and kids many times and tried to justify it, and I guarantee that will assist in his downfall. You should rethink your beliefs. Anyone who raises a hand to their children or wife or husband even, does not do that lovingly and it is NOT godly. Even if you do believe this, it is clear Steven did these things in anger and his wife also ab*sed those children horribly. Even the "biblical justification" is out the window on this one. Why would you defend Steven so vehemently? Is it touching a nerve? Does the shoe fit?
