Jason's flashback & "the locket" -scene Re-edited

With the use of footage from the original movie and Freddy vs. Jason I made so the 2009 movie is now more a sequel than a Remake.
Or maybe I should say Reboot, because everything does indeed go back to zero and Jason is back at Crystal Lake with the Burlap sack over his head.

In the novel series Jason's father abused him and was hurting him and his mother killed her husband. Hack him up into little pieces and dumped his body in Crystal Lake. Then she sent him the summer camp and they let Jason drown . Also Jason's father was beating his mother while she was pregnant with him that's why he looks the way he did.

Okay guys, let’s get one thing straight. This all isn’t really Jason’s fault. Yeah, of course, he is a killer, but c’mon... He literally is a broken man. I mean, he almost drowned, he SAW his mommy get MURDERED in FRONT OF HIM, and he had to survive for years and years on his own, with nothing more than awful memories of his past. He is just so angry, and you know what? I get that... I would be too. I can’t approve his way of expressing his feelings, but you have to understand he never got the right example. His mother did exactly the same. Killing people. And Jason just want to make his mommy proud of him. He misses her so bad, cause she was the only one who didn’t judge him and did accept him for the person he is. You can say what you want, but I am always going to love Jason. No matter what he does, and I literally hope with all my heart one day, in the next movie someone will come who does too. He needs to be loved, man! He needs to understand it doesn’t has to be this way...💕

I have to say, you did a really good job putting this together! It really opens the eyes of the viewers in a new perspective (though I had this perspective from when I first found out about Jason drowning). That scene in the end where Whitney and Clay kill Jason always makes me tear up a little. She was lucky enough to have been kept by Jason and not even harmed, he just wanted someone so he wouldn't be lonely. Then they use his own memory of his mother against him. Sick!

I think that's why people tend to root for Jason more than the other slashers. Yeah he's still a sociopathic killer but he's not inherently pure evil in the same sense as Freddy murdering children, Micheal Myers tormenting his family, or leatherface treating people like cattle in a slaughter house. He's just an incredibly damaged and tortured soul that had to bear the full weight of his peer's cruelty and neglect until it killed him, then he witnessed the only person who ever cared for him decapitated without context. All that suppressed rage and anger turned a small, crippled boy that had been bullied mercilessly into a hulking killing machine of a man that tears through anyone that he perceives as an intruder, because in his traumatized psyche they're just more "bullies" that'll only hurt him again.

Most of what happened to Jason as a child is a direct result of his disability and deformities. His mother sheltered him closely but despite this the children around him were bullies and the counselors were no better, which led to his drowning in the lake. Noticeably mostly from neglect on the staffs part in all of his different backstories. The only thing Jason knows is the fear he instills in others, justified or not, and the love from his mother.

So Jason supposedly drowned in 1957, according to the truck driver from the 1st movie. In the 50's, I'm pretty sure you could have gotten away with making fun of mentally disabled kids, just like how other kids at the time would get made fun of for skin pigmentation, physical deformities or growing up in a fucked up household. It was almost lawless back in those days as a kid to get their kicks at making others miserable. It's still like that today to an extent but not as fucked as it was back then.
