I believe that Elizabeth was trying to help both Jason and Sam in these scenes here. She's been friends with jason for a long time, so she'd naturally want to help him with this whole manny situation. Yes, Jason is also to blame for Jason and Sam's downfall, and it bothered me greatly that Elizabeth was soo hurt over Lucky's affair, and Jason with Sam and Ric, but for them to sleep together that one night, was no big deal.

Kristina said it right a few years ago. Jason would die for Sam, but his first priority is Sonny and Carly. He's good at playing "hero" during a crisis, but he sucks at the day to day living. He might be smart during these situations, but that doesn't make him a good man. Alexis was still right about the mob. That is why Alexis is Sam's family and not Jason. So glad that after all these years Sam finally sees the light.

As much as I dislike Liz, I do believe here she was being a friend. This all started with Jason trying to tell Emily & Sonny how to live, not letting them make their own choices. Then he did the same to Sam, not letting her make her own choices. Where Liz is at fault, is when Jason & Sam got back together, he said he wanted to be a part of the baby's life it was his and wanted Sam, however, Liz had him lie to everyone. He didn't just lie to Sam for days but for months, and was technically cheating on her cause he would continuously go see Liz on the side. Everyone said Sam lied, but not really, if you watch old clips she says she's a grifter and what's in the past is in the past. When Jason took her to the island to protect her from Nico, he asked if she had killed anyone, she said yes, but they never go into detail. TPTB drastically changed Jason's character here and in 2012. Here to force the pairing of Liz & Jason and in 2012 for McBain & Sam, the only good thing in 2012, is Jason always rejected Liz. I believe he fell in love with Liz, but that wouldn't have happened if not for Jake and as he said later (2010) he changed his values and beliefs to be with Liz and as he later said, didn't know why Sam forgave him for what he had done to her.

Sharon Sawyer he only loved liz because of jake.he wanted to be with his son, but the truth is she never let Jason be with him, she wanted Jason to herself

@Injeley I am not a Liz fan. I really do try to give her a chance, but I just don't like her. I do agree with what you said, though. However, while sleeping with Ric was an awful mistake on Sam's part, she did everything she could to get back what she had w/ Jason. I just think it's a little less her fault than Jason's b/c Sam didn't give up & she kept trying when they were falling apart. Jason didn't really do as much.
