In Alexis’ way, she is thanking Jason for saving Sam by letting this whole “Lucky the Hero” charade play out. Plus it makes her look good having a cop be the hero instead of a mobster. But she’s putting him and Liz on notice that she knows the truth. And he could’ve been charged with manslaughter because Jason confronted Manny on the roof. If he plead self-defense, it would’ve been thrown out.
