This is really funny while Sam is making progress during her undercover investigation and she already made contact with the head of the Russian Syndicate. Nevermind the fact that she is flourishing in her relationship with Lucky. Here we have, Jason unhappy, frustrated, oblivious to what's really going on because he just found out that a Russian Syndicate moved into his territory under his nose and Sonny has already met with them a couple of times. But it gets better, Ric is the one that is in notifying Jason of those events. Isn't that sweet! So much for being in control, what a joke! Since Jason started lying about Jake, he hasn't been in control of anything. And that's not hard to imagine because he lost sight of what was most important in his life which was his integrity, his moral compass, his core values and being true to himself. Jason forgot how to be loyal and honest. But funny thing, now with Karpov in the picture, Jason somehow was expecting loyalty out of Sonny when all this time he was lying to everyone about Jake, Elizabeth and everything that was going on in his life. Nevermind, that he dismissed Sonny when he told Jason to do something about what was happening regarding his issues with Elizabeth and Jake because all of that had him distracted. Then what happened, Michael got shot. Needless to say, that Sonny was right. Now, unfortunately Jason had to stand there a hear Ric talked about loyalty and he had to take it because the truth of the matter is that he had lost the moral ground in regards to that subject matter. The moment Jason decided to lie about Jake, he was disloyal to Sam. That was the moment when he became untrustworthy, dishonest and when he compromised his moral compass. So, everything that has happened since then and the ripple effect of said decision is on both, Elizabeth and Jason, and their web of lies. Blessed be!
