Jason is such a great and genuine guy. We’ve had some e-mail correspondence and he has been nothing but gracious. No Super Star mentality here. Love his voice and because he is such a great guy love everything he does

My favorite Jason Scheff sung Chicago song is "Heart in Pieces", the lead-off track on Chicago 19. Great mid-tempo rocker.

Chicago 19 was an awesome album, Bill Champlin sang the lead on 4 top 10s and Jason had his hit with What Kind of Man would I be? Diane Warren wrote all those hits. Twenty1 should've done great as well.

@@lamarravery4094I think that "21" was as good as the albums you listed. I found a not ever-before-opened cassette tape of "21" sold online recently and of the compact disc version of "21" that had not ever been opened. There seems to be renewed interest online of the "21" album.

Generation Radio is a great band; I wish the mixing engineer would have done some more sonic luxury as they have Deen Castranovo on the drums. Jason’s voice has been getting stronger after Chicago and the sweetness in his tone is luxury.

I don't know...At times I think that Jason loves to be self depricating. Always speaking about how negative was David Foster about him, that Peter was the big standard, that Jason didn't blame David to be thinking like that. To me it's clear that Jason was too young and tender and inexperienced as a vocalist and he wasn't the most appropriate candidate to fill Peter's spot at that point. But the Chi guys saw something so big in him, because they embraced him strongly. It's sweet that Jason is very humble, but please, not so much that he ends diminishing and exposing himself. I'm becoming very tired of hearing the same things from Jason when he speaks about his tenure in Chicago. Damn, he was 31years in the band. Aren't there enough things he could talk about?? Experiences, stories, projects he was involved with, his achievements with Chicago. Jason is much more than the guy who have to fill the so called big shoes!! He was so young, innocent and inexperienced, but he grew up, he got much better with every album. He recorded so many wonderful Japanese covers, he wrote some great tunes for his first solo albums. Why doesnt he highlights that? He recorded a lot of wonderful music for Chicago's coming back to radio in 2006 with XXX. There's so much to talk about Jason Scheff, and those topics are never touched. Jason hardly sings any of his songs from Chicago 19 outside "What Kind Of Man". He hardly speaks about Chicago 21. Very rarely speaks about the brand new songs from his latest solo album Here I Am! What about Wonderful Day??!!! 🌞Never Even Had the Chance?? 💧 He has recorded so many good rock and soulful tunes, homages to various great artists, a capella music that he hardly speaks about. So much great projects he has been involved through his nearly 40 years in the recording business...His beginnings with the Keane Brothers Band. Many things! So it's frustrating that Jason always kinds of belittles himself, in a subtle way, just between the lines...Sorry but it's what I feel. He needs to believe much more in himself. I love and admire him so much, and he's much more and has so much to offer than what he ends talking about often on interviews. 😞 But thank you for these clips, and I hope to enjoy them all when you put them!!

I understand Jason now doesn't go searching for fame and fortune, he is not obsessed with that...His best years were already delivered, ('or wasted depending the way people looks at it) to Chicago. Jason doesn't have any more ambitions at this point if his life, and is just grateful. But now that he's not part of Chicago anymore since six years already, he has a very precious chance to be himself, and be as creative as he wants to be, and leave Peter's shadow behind, for once and for all. While he just goes on and on performing the Cetera hits most of the time, and his own hits fewer times, the diminishing comparisons and cruel comments will never stop. Jason has now a valious opportunity to gets far from all of this and focus on the new music and the new collaborative projects he's into, and he can show again and again, what a really great artist he is, because I think the majority of people all can already perceive what a great person and class act guy he is. But he still has to believe more in himself, and love his own original art much more, so people can appreciate him and truly know who and where he is as an artist, without no comparisons or prejudices. Those are my true wishes for him.😌🌟

The Generation Radio album is out. It's a home run. Every song is good. Fills the melodic rock void. Better than Journeys new album by 10,000%. Just the right touch of country flavor. Very contemporary sounding. Not cheesy or dated sounding like a lot of new rock from classic artists. Great songwriting/musicianship and production.

great content, as usual... how about having an interview of Jimmy Goings, the guy who replaced Leroy Gomez in Santa Esmeralda. Both who are now seniors have each rebuilt the band, with Leroy maintaining the orig name Santa Esmeralda, and Jimmy using the name (new) Generation Esmeralda, with most of the original members with him. Warmest greetings from Manila, Philippines!

I was super-excited about this band, but Deen going back to Journey knocked the wind out of my sails--completely. Deen sings lead on my favorite GR song "Lights Go Out In Paradise". To say I'm heartbroken is an understatement

Jason is the man! He has done so many cool projects outside of Chicago. But after seeing a number of YT uploads, I was really concerned GR was just a cover band doing each band's old hits. Then they released their video singles and I was blown away. If they don't hit the big time with this album, I will have lost faith in humanity's taste for good music.

Definitely the Covers will be an important part of what Generation Radio does, but they are a group with their own identity, able songwriters as well as musicians, and I am very glad that they also record, and perform, their own material. If belonging to this band makes Jason happy and he can make use of his creativity as well, then I am very happy with his being in this talented group!!
